I had ramen today with habanero and wheeew doggy it was american spicy. I can only imagine what indian "mild" is like.

Habanero is the mildest of the "seriously hot" peppers, one of the base breeding stocks for the seriously hot peppers, and the hottest pepper that actually tastes good.

Habanero is hot as shit, Mexicans have like three thousand chilis that can kill you. India is certainly home to a few but Indian cuisine doesn’t really emphasize spiciness to the degree Mexican cuisine does

Habanero is solidly in the Indian spice range. I imagine American spicy would be something like a poblano.
