There's being a crazy cat person, and then there's hoarding cats. It definitely depends on the size of your home and your capacity to care for them, but 17 is certainly not a small number of cats for one person to be responsible for.

IIRC he took the sexual assault allegations in stride, it was hiding the number of deaths at senior facilities that made him resign.

To my memory you have it backwards, somehow the nursing home deaths did nothing and then the SA allegations came out and he stepped down

I remember saying at the time “Really? Like, yeah that’s bad, but he killed hundreds to thousands of people!”
