Some people think that it is (i'm not one of those people) but hey, maybe I'm wrong. I was also told a taco and a wrap are sandwiches. I also disagree

Thoughts? Don't turn this into some weird ass struggle session where someone gets banned it's not worth it

If this is not a sandwich to you I want no part in your tyrannical regime.

they probably be boiled, still a crime

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago

How does it feel to be wrong?

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No, it's boiled potatoes on rye, served with radishes (An optional accrutement) and chives. You can add onions (Preferably either red or fried), pepper, mayonaoise or parsley if you want, but you've got a good thing going with the potato, rye, chives and a pinch of salt already

I'm gonna serve that shit to some college students someday

You should. It's pretty good, and having seen what you can do, i trust you to make a great spin in it.

not with that attitude!

[–] lapis@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

that’s not part of the cube rule of food’s definition of toast, oddly enough.

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Potatoes have starch, surely by that definition there are two starch layers, making it a sandwich

[–] lapis@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I don’t think that counts, they’re more of an ingredient than a structural starch in this case

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

The site used to illustrate the model cites croutons as such a starch, surely a layer of potatoes is as structural as the croutons in a salad.

oh, yeah, I personally don’t vibe with the “nachos” category (which was added later), and think it’s just a weird way to describe a salad which includes starch.

but also, if you want to include the apocryphal cube food types, I think that would make the open-face potato sandwich more of a cake, or nachos upon a toast.

don't be a cheapskate where's the other slice of bread?

[–] footfaults@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That looks dry as hell. Needs some sort of condiment

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 1 points 1 week ago

Traditionally the bread is buttered
