So the job I'm working this summer is the first one that I'm actually out as myself for, and omg I was not expecting to get euphoria from a god damn work email having my name of all things
I need to be out at work if I get another job, I honestly don't know if I can handle more of the closet. It kind of broke me last autumn (and I wasn't even hiding anything, although I also wasn't explicitly stating anything).
Yeah closeting at work takes a toll even if you aren't actively denying it. The amount of times I've had kids I tutored say the sweetest things but use my deadname while doing so is quite high and every time it bums me out a little bit. Luckily I don't do anything public-facing so it's never been a constant feeling of being misgendered, just the occasional reminder, but that still sucks. I hope you can get something decent where you can be open if you do get one. โค

It's seems like it's a really tough thing to do, at least where I am in terms of location and experience, but I'm hoping I can find something decent too.
It might be worth checking if your school has any sort of internship programs with other places. Though if they do there's also a high chance that they already happened months ago (like how mine does theirs in fucking february ๐). Either way chances are it would be better than the alternatives as far as being fine with queerness goes.

Wish I had a name to put in my work email. Amusingly, I recently gave myself an alias to my work email so I could get recovery emails for some accounts set up by someone who no longer works there. Not that I actually send any emails with that name, but I've told people that could alternatively send things there and I'd get it jokingly.
