Come on how long is it from egg to chicken before it's chicken to egg. You stupid fucking Americans are getting taken advantage of.
4.5 months to start laying eggs and about 20 million chickens culled year to date since this map from February.

I think it's a few weeks or so. The problem is that enough flock purges happened over the last while, that it will take several generations to get the numbers back to where they were.
