Must be nice to live unaffected.

And you know that how? Maybe they're affected more than you and this is for their mental sanity? Either way, block lists exist for a reason.

Personally, I don't mind the politics. However, @Robin@lemmy.world clearly doesn't want them, for their own personal reasons. Is it really too much to politely request someone to add ONE word to the title? Do you mean to imply that in order to make such requests, the minimum requirement is for them to suffer?

Also, you cannot assume that they are unaffected. For many people, including some I know, the Internet is a place of refuge and respite from the harsh reality of the current world.

Imo this is a failing of Lemmy itself. There needs to be a way to tag content under certain (community-specific?) categories, without needing to put a bunch of shit in the title.

I personally think that we should introduce content warnings to Lemmy. While we're at it, we could entirely replace NSFW with CWs. CWs are much more robust and nuanced.

Imo we should go a step up from that:

Communities should define their own categories, and identify certain categories as CW.
Then clients could opt to auto-hide/blur those categories, and provide per-category overrides.

Last time I tried to post something, using voyager, I didn't even see the option to flag as NSFW, idk if it's community specific or if this client simply doesn't support it.

I'd rather live affected so I move out this shithole (aka U.S.) as soon as possible.
