How is this anchor not embarrassed reading this out by realizing he’s basically sitting in the middle of the burning house Sagan noticed some hooligans were torching decades ago. The institution he is intrinsically part of is exactly the one called out.

Because it's not his America that's falling apart. He's part of an established system of control at the behest of capital interest. He is fine. He is wealthy and his family is set. He has been bought.
