It was mentioned by a gym teacher in health class, when discussing the dangers of the internet.

I'm sorry, they told a bunch of horny teenagers "Be sure when you go visit whitehouse.gov to use the proper ending! otherwise you will find pornography! and that would be really bad if you did that! make sure to go to .gov instead of .com!"

wtf did they think the kids were going to do? avoid looking at tits and instead go work on their civics homework project?

That was almost word for word what she had said. She mentioned a few other sites as well, but I was too busy writing the first one down. 6th grade was a year of many core memories.
