Represents a problem with society. Don't like UnitedHealthcare? - Choose something else. Failed to honor their terms? - Sue them and let people know. It's how capitalism works. Instead everyone wants to force things to work the way they want and take matters into their own hands. -A bunch of bushwackers.
Yeah because your average person can afford to sue one of the world's wealthiest organizations.
Get your head out of your ass.
In this case, it would be a class action. stupid fucker
You can't class action. "by using this service you waive your rights for a class action lawsuit and must settle all disputes via arbitration." or some bullshit.
Then arbitrate or consult an attorney to see if it's legit.
Just because a company is highest ranked at something doesn't mean it's wrong.
When did killing people become a solution?
When all other avenues are blocked, (like they are, don't pretend the average person has any recourse) it becomes an option
Since the beginning of time.
We're animals after all.
It became a solution when we got results.
Also take a step back and look at human history. When have we ever actually gotten progress through anything but violence?
Those who make peaceful progress impossible, make violence inevitable. Brian Wealthcare over there was never going to see the inside of a courtroom, much less a jail cell, so vigilantism is the only recourse left. The bourgeois controls the other three boxes, but they'll never control the ammo boxes
Hey stupid fucker… explain how class action suits are brought in the first place. Feel free to google it ( you know you have to)
You never had a job?
My employer uses United Healtchare, I have no choice in that.
Though Lo and behold, my prior auth that was denied, changed to approved after this.
Why are you blaming this one CEO and not appealing to your empoyer? Prisons were built for people with your mindset. -You've never been to prison?
Under his leadership United's denial rate has increased dramatically (to 32%, double the industry average), and they implemented an AI model that was known to be racially-biased and had a 90% defect rate in its determination. This particular company and CEO are egregiously worse than the rest of the already fucked up industry.
Then it should be a slam dunk trial.. right?
People that talk like this are people that have never been involved in a lawsuit I assume. You have no Earthly idea how much time money and stress it costs you.
I've collected on multiple class action suits with minimal effort.
Lol that's what I thought
Me too! Did you take the $10, or the two 4 packs of redbull when they settled that it does in fact not give you wings? Did you invest that windfall? Have you turned that monetary gain into an empire yet..?
Again, you never had a job? That not how that works. This CEO however, is in charge of the company that denied my PA. So theres that.
You think they have control over every little detail of what happened? There's a reason we have a court system, and a prison system for people that think they're the law.
Have you never gone to school or been taught how to be a part of society?
Again explain how the court system resolves this. The millions of lawyers out there that missed this lucrative opportunity are waiting with baited breath to hear you expound your wisdom.
Why are people arguing with this troll?
Because the last election proved that there is an abundance of people that lack critical thinking skills and simply default to the loudest voice in the room.
Cause its easy and fun.
I don't see anyone arguing. This is more like cats using a scratching post. Gotta keep the claws sharp, after all.
Ah yes, of course! Why didn't I think of that? Guess I'll wait till next November when open enrollment is back and I'm allowed to change providers to whomever my company picked for me for 2026.
Another great nugget of advice! My savings of less than a week's worth of legal fees will surely topple a massive company that has been getting away with this long enough to have more lawyers than I have friends!
If you have a valid case against such a high value target, the lawyers won't care how much you make.
Only if there is a good chance to win or settle. Validity is one part.
man I thought I was an idiot but I feel inexplicably better about myself suddenly
What a dipshit troll
They way the system works is you you buy a service and then a few years later a fuckhead CEO enshittifies it to appease the shareholders. When it's something like insurance you won't know the service is shit until you actually try to use it and your claim is denied. You can't change to a better insurance company that will accept your claim because insurance comapanies won't accept a past claim when you sign up for the service.
So you're fucked while the shareholders make more money and the CEO gets a bonus. You vote for someone that's willing to prosecute price gougers but she loses the election to the scummiest billionaire out there because people care more about WWE memes than having a good government that'll prevent billionaires from screwing you over.
Soap box, ballot box, jury box, ammo box. When greedy billionaires have taken control of the first three boxes, they leave people with only one box they can use.
Holy shit shut the fuck up bootlicker
Choose something else? Choosing insurance is like choosing if you want to drink pee or eat poop. All options suck.
See, this is what I'm talking about. Big fucking picture screaming "LOOK AT ME!", yet with 131 downvotes.
I shouldn't be seeing this comment and all. Why can't Lemmy just auto-hide this for me?
The onion should hire you.
