You could just look up how cheap you can order shit like that on Alibaba and know for a fact that it's true but whatever.
i think the part he doubts is that they're indie artists
you can order shit that's already made on alibaba for cheap but if you want the factory to make your design, there is overhead, and actual indie artists usually cannot afford that / can barely profit
