It's going to be a full price port of RDR, a game from 2010. Not a remaster or remake, just a 13 year old game for $60
Also no PC port.
Yet! They do this shit all the fucking time. They will stagger their releases and double dip people. This isn't to say people should pay 50 bucks for a fucking barely touched up game but the pc port thing is probably going to happen in a year or 2.
RDR is a new low though. It's a game from 2010, originally on the Xbox 360 and ps3. Being released on switch at full price with no enhancements.
Oh its fucking stupid but honestly after the whole GTA trilogy thing, would you really want them to touch it up? They have proven they are terrible at it but yeah it being full price is insane.
That touching up got outsourced to a tiny company that had never done anything but mobile games. There were like a dozen people working on that, and what was just a touch up of one game became the trilogy with only like 3 months notice. So as shitty as the end product was, Rockstar fucked them.
Oh absolutely, Rockstar fucked them but I would imagine they are doing the same deal with RDR. They have Double Eleven doing this rerelease.
Damn. As much as I love and recommend RDR to people who haven't played it, this is inexcusable. The original release was buggy af too. A full remake with quality of life improvements is what should've happened.
I just wanted to make sure people weren't shitting on the people who worked their asses off thanklessly. Yeah, it sucked, but I can't blame them. Rockstar is making greedy decisions because they're too comfortable that we'll eat whatever bullshit they throw our way.
A new low? Ever heard of Skyrim? I guess it is a new low for rockstar, but Bethesda's been doing this successfully for far, far too long.

I'm kind of glad I have a definitely unmodded switch.
Also, definitely glad there totally isn't an emulator that has the letters r p c s 3 in the name.
I do not condone piracy. Only use these tools if you have legally bought the game when it first came out.
I don't exactly condone it either, I enthusiastically embrace and encourage it. It is always morally correct to refuse to reward unethical and predatory businesses practices.
Support the ones doing it the right way, though.

I was worried some may not get the sarcasm. And I thought it'd be best to stay safe from getting it removed from mods who don't like it.

Borrowing is absolutely fine.
They've been doing that with GTA V since 2013, why change the formula?
GTAV has had quite a bit of polish, comparatively. Of course, I'm sure that if they weren't mostly doing it to keep GTA Online looking vaguely fresh it would still look like a PS3 game.

Diablo 2 was completely remade graphically. Whether it was worth the price is another matter, but effort was put into it.
