The Stonewall riots were a reaction brutal police enforcement of anti-lgbtq laws. They broke up gay bars, drug people into the streets and generally terrorized the queer community. People refer to that era that led to the ‘riot’ as the Stonewall era.

Thanks, yeah honestly based on my conversations with the dude he doesn’t seem evil, just misinformed.
I think based on the few conversations I’ve had with him he believes that the puberty blockers on their own cause long term effects, and that large numbers of minors in this country have affirming surgeries. I countered that no they don’t and that the number of minors who get surgery is incredibly low.
I am currently researching scholarly sources for both points - if anyone has high quality resources I’d appreciate them.
