I can also confirm it doesn't work on a de-Googled device, even with something like MicroG (though it may work on GrapheneOS's sandbox thing).

Great list of books that serve as introductions to Traditional Witchcraft.

I know some people won't like this, but overall I think it is a cleaner look and also makes full use of the screen real estate available. Now it's not like... 100% ideal from a usage standpoint, but I think it's better than just having black bars are the top and bottom (or sides in landscape mode), as that just sorta defeats the point of an edge to edge display.

A great video from a channel that's done some great work exploring the esoteric and occult works and ideas of the past.

Voyager is absolutely fantastic, even as a PWA. Eternity is very competent too, especially if you are/were an Infinity for Reddit user.

Welcome to all who follow the Crooked Path.

Welcome to those who dare to look behind the veils and peer over the hedge.

Welcome to those who follow the old ways and help keep them alive.

Welcome to those who seek the higher natures of reality and being.

Welcome to those who's clairs are found and their mind's open.

Welcome to those who consult the cards, bones, runes, sticks and more for guidance.

Welcome to those who come seeking or sharing knowledge, new or old.

Welcome to all!

Welcome to Furry Mystics!

This is a group designed to allow those furries who follow the multiple different paths of mysticism, esotericism, paganism, and the occult to learn, share, and grow. Whether you are a follower of Pagan ways, Animistics or Shamanistic practices, the different Crooked Paths of Witchcraft, Wiccan practices, traditionally Esoteric and Mystical schools such as Hermeticism or Thelema, and/or other such practices, you are welcome here.

With this, it is my hope that others from different paths of life and experience may come together and share their experiences, while learning from those of others.

Rules

There are some ground rules in place for the community.

  • Don’t be a troll or abusive - This is a place of learning and growing, as such this behavior is not welcome here and will be dealt with accordingly.

  • No spamming - While I know some are eager to share loads of content, please keep the sensibilities of others in mind, as we seek a diverse range of content in this community.

  • No proselytizing - While a desire to share what you have learned is welcomed here, thinking or acting on the idea that your beliefs are superior to others is not. Such behavior is not welcomed here and is unbecoming of what this community is designed for. (This goes doubly so for those outside of who the community is intended for, thinking they have found a willing audience of converts to preach to. Our ears are closed, you are not welcome here.)

  • No advertising (unless approved by the mods) - It is understandable that many following these paths work in making their own tools and goods, which are often sold to others. That is perfectly fine overall, if the purpose of the post is to share what you have created, which also includes a link to other goods you may offer. However, posting for the explicit purpose of advertising, either your goods or another's, is not allowed, unless it is pre-approved by a mod beforehand.

  • Do not break any of the other rules associated with the Pawb.Social instance - This should go without saying, please do not violate any of the other rules in place for Pawb.Social

With that, I hope others are able to learn, share, and grow their knowledge here with others. So mote it be!

I don't know if it's the "TOS-Breaking" you're looking for, but I've been using Forkgram for a while now and really appreciate the QOL improvements it has, as well as the ability to hide the Premium stuff you aren't using.

I think you left off Session from this list. Based on everything I know, it'll probably come in number 2, or even number 1 if it beats SimpleX.

About time someone in Congress came to their senses and realized what the NPB actually represents...

[–] southernwolf@pawb.social 2 points 1 year ago

I kinda wondered the same thing, but I guess that's their choice. Wish they had push some kind of notice to the app to let users know to try the new version. As it is, this is the first time I heard of this.

Yeah, this meme is now very dead for me as well. xD

I learned something today... and I'm not better off for having learned it. What a dumb ass virtue signal to use on something.

10/10 for Voyager, with a shout-out to Eternity too!

OpenSuse Tumbleweed without a doubt!

While I have little respect for Apple's overall privacy practices, this sounds a lot like the CCP making something up to scare protesters and dissidents from using AirDrop. There's no sensible reason they would be advertising such an exploit openly, especially when it could potentially be used to secretly spy on dissidents, protesters, or even used in foreign espionage. Something doesn't sit right with this.

This is probably not the best Choropleth map, but it should give a decent understanding about the share of Linux user within that particular country

How to read?

This map compares the Linux share of that particular country - this is not a world-wide population distribution of OS user. You're supposed to read it more like: "Within the 'X' country, there is a 'x'% of Linux user", not "'X' country has 'x'% of Linux users"

Assumptions
  • Some regions, like for example, Kosovo has the same value as Serbia, as it is not recognized by Statcounter Global Stats.

  • Likewise, a few countries and islands were not recognized by Datawrapper, like for example, the Virgin Islands. So, I just chose to simply ignore those values.

Countries with user share more than, or equal to 6%

Note: within their own internet users

Countries % of share
Jamaica 15.2%
India 14.51%
Seychelles 13.34%
Norway 11.91%
GREENLAND (DNK) 11.53%
Greece 9.51%
Panama 8%
SAO TOME AND PRINCIPE 7.97%
Azerbaijan 7.91%
Ukraine 7.75%
Belize 7.66%
Malta 6.95%
Turkey 6.4%
Honduras 6.31%

Alt text:Twitter post by Daniel Feldman (@d_feldman): Linux is the only major operating system to support diagonal mode (credit [Twitter] @xssfox). Image shows an untrawide monitor rotated about 45 degrees, with a horizontal IDE window taking up a bottom triangle. A web browser and settings menu above it are organized creating a window shape almost like a stepped pyramid.

Source.

Simple Mobile apps have been very popular among FOSS enthusiasts. I've personally been using the Gallery, Contacts and the Phone app since a few years now. It's a shame that it has come to this, will be on the lookout for their forks.

Not necessarily Linux related, but figured this was important information to pass along, given the popularity of these FOSS apps on Android.
