Tesla does not make Lithium iron phosphate batteries which the RWD model uses.

There are some other U.S.-market EVs that contain Chinese batteries, like the Ford Mustang Mach-E and the all-wheel-drive variant of the Toyota bZ4X

There is more information in the article than just the headline.

My assumption is that if Chinese EVs manufactured in Mexico prove to be superior to domestic alternatives, it could undermine the narrative of Chinese EVs being better due to factors like cheap labor etc.

According to Euro NCAP all Chinese cars from 2022–2024 got the 5 star safety rating. While many non Chinese models got 4 stars.

Voyager is currently many versions ahead of the one listed on F-Droid. It is still usable but you may want to get the latest version from GitHub.

If I am not mistaken this is the 'pebble bed' reactor. Nice to see it finally make it out of testing phase.
