Sounds about right. Here in Amarillo, my first protest was over anti-homeless legislation. Basically if any person is in a park or public place and have "what could be deemed camping equipment" cops can just take it because you aren't allowed to camp in parks.

This means anything from extra clothing, food, sleeping bags, or any sort of personal storage.

The law passed but I got on tv because when we did the sit-in, the local news filmed me since my shoes were a bit loud lol. My econ professor called me out on it the next Monday(in a good way of course).

Before I forget, here's a repo of every game ever made(not really but it's a ton): https://r-roms.github.io/

I have 2 other repos somewhere with more currated collections for up to N64 iirc but I'd have to find them. I just have the above bookmarked.

Also LPT: replace the stock sd card that these things come with if you can. They tend to crap out all the time.

Looking at the bigger picture I hate realizing this sort of thing sometimes.

China gets mocked for suicide nets(and like no one even questioned if it was real or not) but the US legit has workplace shootings that often end up with suicide.

I'm still mad about how ridiculous the "communism is bread lines" train of thought is because we have food banks, soup kitchens and church food based outreach in our great United States of America. If food insecurity is a symptom of a failed state well guess the fuck what? And that's not even covering the fact that Russia has breadlines during and after the transition to capitalism after the USSR was desolved. So again it was a direct result of how bad capitalism is at food security.

Gentle remind that the US was perfectly content with Nazi Germany for most of the war.

I actually am adding Caliban and the Witch to my list. Engels wrote a similar piece called The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State that might pair well with Caliban.

If you are prone to rabbit holes, I would recommend skimming this or the Wikipedia page if you are inclined to just have a basic understanding of it. You don't need an in-depth knowledge of it or even some of the people Lenin mention to follow the book but knowing a few dates and what exactly the Commune was might help. Maybe read the Manifesto of Principles first to have a baseline when going into Lenin's analysis of Communism. That was what I did and I think it helped.

But again, take it slow and don't get overwhelmed. Some of the text is worth further analyzing and if you get stuck you can ask on hexbear or grad and I know someone will be able to help lol. Heck, even the socialism_101 subreddit has been a worthwhile tool to help with some things.
