or just add some ads.

This part in particular. Also I'm old enough to have grown up when computers weren't common at all. I'm familiar with paying for software. I'm honestly not sure why you are responding this way when the text literally suggests adding ads.

I think they should just change the name to CRIBS.

I disagree pretty hard with dense urban areas being optimal and that leaving land outside of cities "untouched" would be a good thing.

Humans are nature and the entire planet is our home, which must be maintained regularly. This idea that we need to separate ourselves from the so-called natural world in order to protect it seems incorrect based on history. Many indigenous groups maintained thriving forests, grasslands, etc for centuries before colonizers showed up. Many other animals maintain their environments as well; beavers, elephants, etc. Humans are pollinators too!

Obviously we do many horrible things to our environment, but that's not an innate human behavior. We learned to be destructive of our own environment over time and then it was spread everywhere through colonization. Many people went from being just another animal to seeing themselves as special and, largely through religion (not saying religion is bad, just saying it was used as a tool by the ruling class to indoctrinate people), were taught that everything and everyone existed to be exploited for resources. Capitalism is born out of this idea that we are not part of nature.

I think alienation as described by Marx and others after him explains what I'm saying here in a different context and certainly in more detail. I also don't think we shouldn't mostly live in cities of some type, but we absolutely need people out in the world taking care of it. Moreover, I think at least a not insignificant number of humans simply cannot thrive in dense urban environments.

So idk anything about solar punk, but I did an image search for it and about half the images have people in them and none of it seems particularly fascist?

I feel old because I don't even know what this is about

[–] prole@hexbear.net 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Magnets are the most lib way to do this, so it makes sense

[–] prole@hexbear.net 14 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Are they actually asking for ads or am I misreading this? I will do an adventurism right now if people are actually asking for ads

[–] prole@hexbear.net 37 points 4 days ago

Yeah, this is definitely the reason this isn't constantly being talked about. The ruling class is involved in the pedo ring regardless of their politics or industry. Tech, oil, weapons it doesn't matter these rich fucks are doing monstrous things and the ones who aren't still won't speak up

[–] prole@hexbear.net 11 points 5 days ago

Ha, I didn't read the OP carefully! The best part is it doesn't really matter which one we're talking about, they both fucking suck and started wars for money.

[–] prole@hexbear.net 11 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Ok it makes more sense to me then. A lot of people have made Bush Jr look way better than he was and played up the "he's just too dumb" angle a lot, especially liberal media after Trump showed up. If someone isn't purposefully looking for information critical of Bush they're probably only going to see very gentle criticisms in today's media.

All anyone needs to understand is how they lied to start a war in Iraq, allowed extreme forms of torture at Abu Ghraib and other sites, and their response to Katrina. Iraq war alone is literally responsible for 100s of thousands of civilian deaths

I have a 2019 Toyota and when we got it a year or so ago, I was reading reviews and stuff. One of the biggest criticisms was that the interior seems outdated. I've never had a vehicle with any kind of touch screen, but this one just has a smallish one and a bunch of the normal knobs and buttons around it.

I'm typically not opposed to learning new tech or whatever, but touchscreens in cars is just the worst idea. Capacitive touch instead of buttons and switches is the second worst idea. All of this shit is just cost saving and not actually better, it just looks fancier

GW Bush isn't bad is a fucking wild take. Is this person too young to remember it or something? Bush admin is easily one of the most evil groups of people in modern US politics. Honestly I think they were worse than Reagan.
