Was that even a sub critical of Elon? I haven't been on Reddit since the API migration, but I remember that sub just being a joke response to BlackPeopleTwitter, which mostly just reposted funny tweets.

Spez is a piece of shit, but wasn't that a joke? Like other mods added him as a mod?

“Elon can’t do and won’t do anything without our approval,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Monday.

Any bets on how long it will be until Elon does something so unpopular that there's blowback on Trump and it becomes "Elon acted on this alone and I had nothing to do with it."

The best part is every one of those adjectives is also a hyperlink.

Exactly, they were taking reservations at the $40k price for a really long time. I was looking to buy an EV in 2021 and at that price, it was significantly cheaper than anything being sold. I laughed at how fucking ugly the thing was, but it was so cheap that I didn't hesitate to put down a reservation.

Then when it was released, it was like $100k. Ain't no way am I paying that for that piece of shit. And in the meantime, Elon went full on Nazi. I could kind of ignore his dumbfuckery back in 2021 but not now.

I am legitimately angry to only be learning this now

Maybe it's more common with databases and reporting? I've seen this a million times over the years with removing tables or reports. Then again, it's possible I've only worked in places with poor data governance.

Sounds like you need to live life more dangerously.

I'm pretty sure that people who say they want to "run the country like a business" just think it sounds good but haven't put 2 braincells worth of thought into it. Businesses exist to make money. Government exists to serve citizens.

Do you want firefighters showing up to your burning house and asking for a credit card before they put out the fire? Or maybe have the post office decide that it's not profitable enough to service entire states? The whole idea is moronic.

The FAA is dangerously understaffed as is. The fact that President Musk didn't realize that before trying to purge their ranks just emphasizes how clueless these dumb fucks truly are.

Nineteen Republican attorneys general have called on Costco Wholesale to abandon its diversity, equity, and inclusion policies, citing concerns about about discrimination and legal risks

This comes after 98% of the U.S. retailer's shareholders last week voted against a proposal requesting a report on the risks tied to its diversity and inclusion initiatives, pushing back against the growing scrutiny such policies face.
