Ah I see, I’m confusing unemployment rate with the jobs top line figure. Thank you.

Seems like far too many.

Just to clarify by downward you mean revised downward in the emotionally negative sense not the actual number shrinking right? If I can recall they have been increasing the numbers largely with each revision.

I think the fed takes this into account for what it’s worth, and have a sense of how much to emphasize the data. I might trust them too much but only time will tell on that!

Politically I’d argue it did get some democrats to wake up to the issue, maybe not to the extent most would like though. This could’ve been “solved” with Senator Lankford’s bill, but Trump had to … Trump I guess. Hopefully this is resolved soon in some way or another after the election.

Haven’t followed this too closely but it feels like a sticky situation doesn’t it. It’s really a question of if a software is responsible for its users or not, unless I’ve missed something.

There was a schism between the murdoch camp and the Trump camp after they called Arizona “super early” for Biden in 2020 and Trump threw a fit. That’s when NewsMax and OAN kinda became his preferred, publicly at least, news platforms.

“Willing whores of Putin” or “willing whores” of the ayatollah? I’d prefer if our mainstream political parties were neither!

Russia had a choice: play by the west's rules, or play second fiddle to China. They chose the latter unfortunately for them and for us.
