X Edward Guo, a professor of biomedical engineering at Columbia University, said that part of the problem is that, unlike in the US, military research does sometimes take place on university campuses. “It’s not black and white … there are medical universities that also do military. But 99% of those professors are doing biomedical research and have nothing to do with the military.”.

Us University's don't do military research

Yes they do ??????????

spoilercheese as largest exported food stuff, thinking European or central asia. Developed economy with advanced manufacturing, leaning more toward Europe. No fish exports, landlocked and with the cheese guessing an alpine country. 20b seemed like a lot for Luxembourg and too little for Austria so I guessed Switzerland first.

Even in the case of libya nato went well beyond the mandate of the security council resolution.

While mostly right, very funny it indulges mh17 hoax stuff. Why is it so hard to acknowledge arming poorly trained units with advanced anti air missiles can have blow back. Look at the plane that was mistakenly shot down in Iran couple years ago. Just weird hill to die on.

He basically says "anyone else". He does do the "harris actually great" but shoots it down bc she is unliked, blames it on racism/sexism.

Last 3 episodes were really bad. The regular show is good when they find a slate of insane ameribrained op eds to ridicule for 45 min also bc of the size of the show they have on very good guests fairly regularly. The episode recently with Ryan grim where they discussed his new book about the squad(absolutely brutal portrayal of AOC) was very good. Their interview with beirut based journalist Séamus Malekafzali was also stand out. All the spin offs that are actual passion projects are also good like others mentioned in this thread.

It makes the link preview show up correctly on things like discord or slack. Vxtwitter also does this and puts a trans-heart in the corner

The nyt investigation is really thorough in proving that the Russians did kill a number of civilians. When I say it's convincing like there are videos of some of the killings along with cell records and eyewitness testimony. I am always skeptical of eyewitness stuff but the rest holds up on its own imo. I seems it was probably revenge killings by a the russian unit that had one of their elements ambushed the week before. I personally haven't seen a lot of compelling evidence against their case.

I think the thing to push back on is there is no evidence that it was part of a systemic pattern of massacres. I think the genocide in Palestine really highlights the difference between brutal awful war and systemic crimes against humanity and genocide.

The community college in Dallas has a really cheap teaching bachelor's program now. Last year you get a job at school district so you get paid too. Teaching can be hell but the state keeps raising wages bc there are not enough teachers.
