My best guess is the shooter is either her father or a kid, you know dad goes native and answers the door with a gun now and whoops finger slipped. Or maybe the toddler next door got a hold of daddies pistol and pointed it at the woman in the neighbors lawn.

It seems like if it were the cops they'd just invoke qualified immunity, put the shooter on paid administrative leave and have the states budget pay off the coming lawsuit.

Maybe in this case it's was blatant? Maybe it's because it's a pretty blond woman, which traditionally are rallying points for outrage?

I know it's parody, but I'm getting some serious David Dees vibes here.

Do not mock the Dear Leaders pet!

I've said it before but before I die I fully expect to see some sort of "Right to Labor" (or something) law where companies can press unemployed people into "employment" for prison wages.

Every time I see her face I am amazed that she's only in her early 30's.

I'm thinking more of a lure, have some nice rotten salmon smell leaking out of your "hat" and hope that some tasty fish, sharks or seals show up looking for a meal.

He'll probably dig up the editors of Continuum magazine to give them leadership positions in the FDA afterwards.

The guns obviously don't need help, they're doing a fine job killing children on their own.

The increased “detail” is entirely made up, based off whatever the AI model considers likely to be there based off similar images.

Like that time when a upscaler turned Barack Obama into a white man.

I'd guess just standard android with some jingoistic wallpapers and a ton of backdoors installed.

My preferred topping for pancakes is a paste made of butter and brown sugar.

Since there is no thread about this on Lemmy, I figured I may as well make one in case someone hadn't heard about it.

Anyway, a new app called Netpass has been released that allows Streetpass over the internet. The app is still kinda rough, a few games like Tomodachi Life have a minor bugs, but for the most part it works almost exactly like if you conventionally streetpassed someone.

So I was browsing SteamDB.info looking at the various games on sale when I noticed there were a bunch of games (usually from the publisher Hede, but there's quite a few others) listed as having a discount in the high nineties, yet still costing in the neighborhood of 30-50 dollars. Even odder when I go to the game's Steam, it's not listed as being on sale and costs the... "normal" price of $99.99.

I'm just wondering A) What the scam is here, B) How a SteamDB.info is getting $99.99 dollar game as costing 30-ish dollars when it's 97% off but at the same time it's apparently not actually on sale?
