Definitely not great behavior but considering Safari makes up a bunch of their users, they should have really added the playsinline attribute to the video to prevent this. Wtf it just opened a video in full screen on iOS right away. When I closed it and wanted to scroll down I was suddenly dragging an icon. When tapping this icon it opens some „my personas“ dialog which I don’t even understand what it is supposed to be? What even is this shit ass site?

It’s a way for apps to interact with reddit. Reddit shut down the API for third party clients so that you’re forced to use their crappy official app instead of much nicer alternatives.
I used a different app to access Reddit and hence couldn’t use it anymore. The official app was a huge downgrade to what I was using before and full of ads. So I - like many others - just left Reddit for good.
And not just that, the different mineral compositions give it a different flavor too. Sometimes when traveling here in Germany, I‘m filling my water bottle with regional tap water and often I‘m glad how good the tap water at home tastes compared to what you can get in other regions.
Is Mastodon ready for the flood? Or will it be Bluesky benefiting most?
Most people would probably flock to Bluesky as the whole federation aspect still seems to be hard to understand for people and Bluesky is just easier to understand for people because it’s not really federated all that well. Mastodon also has more rough edges that might turn people away.
I‘m not boycotting US media since I‘m way too much of a fan of some TV shows or movies they make. That said, I made sure not to pay any money for it which I originally started doing when streaming first enshittified.
If I ever feel they’re altering the content as to avoid upsetting the administration, I might move away from US media.

This does unfortunately happen multiple times per day. Sometimes it’s smaller incidents where the tram driver can get out and collapse the car’s mirror. Other times the owner of the car comes out of a nearby house after the tram used its bell extensively (like today) and moves the car. And then there are times when police needs to get involved to tow the car which often takes upwards of 1 hour.
The truly infuriating part is that if the tram damages a poorly parked car, the transportation company will have to pay the damages. Poorly parked vehicles never get fined and the owners will only need to pay if the car ends up getting towed.
Why do we accept that drivers sabotage a city’s public transport infrastructure like this?
