The "We can't do this because it doesn't solve 100% of our problems" excuse.
I'm not asking Canadians to respond to this on behalf of México. I'm asking for them to consider if it's worth it to help the US by sending them water or electricity.
This is not longer a price increase in your grocery store, this is denial of a must have resource for people to survive and as we can see now the US doesn't have a problem with citizens of their biggest trade partners suffering.

This was explained to people all over the internet. I remember people posting the dailyshow shirt guy interview where they explain to him how tariffs will impact his business. Some people didn't care as long as it also hurt everybody they don't like.

Edit: Just read the news that an University caved to Trump's demands to be able to get funds. Among the demands is for police to be able to arrest students.
