Ugh.... I hadn't thought about this specific asset of Barr's tenure as AG for a while. If you read the Mueller report, it was scathingly bad for Trump, and the parts that were redacted were almost categorically things that would appear to have been bad for Trump, based on contextual clues. Mueller should've been more forward with the findings of his report so the Republicans didn't get their chance to sweep it under the rug like they did.

True and disgusting. Abbott is a despot.

I say for anyone who is still frequently using Reddit at this point, let's post friendly replies to try and lure responses from the admins on these threads, then after they respond, change your question to something that makes their response look like something an asshole would say.

Hey Satan, how's it going?

I also think it will take more than one month to understand the data. For example, my wife and I cancelled our Netflix subscription months or maybe even years ago at this point. We now just subscribe to one service at a time. This month, we happened to renew our Netflix subscription, so we absolutely get counted in the numbers Netflix is reporting right now, even though we canceled the new monthly subscription pretty much immediately after we signed back up.

I agree 100%.

They use a few particular wedge issues to create voters who will vote one way regardless of any other considerations.

  • Abortion is murder
  • Your guns are the only thing that protect you and your family and the government wants to take them away
  • Party of law and order
  • Party of small government/fiscal responsibility

It doesn't matter in the slightest if the actions of Republican politicians conflict with their platforms.

  • Countless Republican leaders get abortions
  • Trump passed the first major firearm control in recent memory
  • January 6th
  • The deficit has gone up during every Republican administration and down in every Democrat administration since Reagan

It's not going to get fixed, because if the war on drugs was won, there'd be no one to fill up the run-for-profit prisons.

Garrison is without a doubt one of the most obtuse and absurd comic creators out there, but this one is a well known fake.

Thank you for asking. There's nothing is wrong with it, generally speaking. But it is not an academic or peer reviewed source. It has many editorialized articles.

I generally like the content they produce at least a little bit, but it's not science.

Not to belittle the issue, but does this community plan to allow posts sourced from non-academic publications like Ars Technica?

And for those that don't know, Cities Skylines 2 is coming out October 24th!

The Relay dev thinks they can make a subscription model work. Last I checked they still hadn't determined pricing, but they were hopeful that it would be about a 60/40 split for them/the API. I'm skeptical it will work out that way, I have a feeling most of it will just go to reddit.

But the app will continue to work for the next few weeks before the subscription kicks in while the dev works out the details.
