Hell yeah theythembro! Get fit, make those small incremental changes, maintain that momentum. Become the comrade who has the strength to pull and push themselves up, and by doing so have the strength to pull and push up others. Go get @ratboy@hexbear.net

I get bone-itis every time I log into that site

True.

I mean to say that I think the idea of an online job board isn’t a bad idea. Even in the utopian left is super future work will still need to be done and people who can do work Will still need to find it (assuming he haven’t built automations to do that) . The idea of finding work being an easily accessible online place doesn’t seem like a bad idea to me.

But yes more capitalism is bad of course.

I’m not on some identity politics shit but this exact type of rhetoric I loathe to hear from other black people. There is no need to hoist our historical/economic/cultural wounds on to someone else. That’s vile and disrespectful to both the target of this as well as other black people.

I hate this shit, but to illustrate my point she’s (and other people like her black or otherwise) saying “we don’t want to get rid of the plantation, or even to heal other get away from this place, we just want to be the overseer. Maybe have a more ergonomic handle on whip too, and a better saddle while you’re at it”. It’s so fuckin’ cowardly and plainly ignorant.

Democrats don’t want a better world they want to be at the helm of the “make everything suck more” machine. They want to maintain the status quo but just want a slightly more advantageous position in it.

The average democrat is so confidently stupid and carry an equal parts cringe and utterly unearned sense of superiority

I have found a ton of great music in that channel. I don’t always post it but I do appreciate everyone sharing their recommendations over there

I hate to hear all the weird war profiteers and general psychos who cheer this on. It’s so stupid we waste all this time and mental energy to design and build entire infrastructure that has the sole purpose of stuff like this.

I keep my at low brightness with a sort of terminal green. I'm not an RGB sort of guy but I do find having a lit keyboard does help with my programming at night. I often forget what key plus SHIFT gives me '&' or '*' and stuff like that.

Markets are places that people build relationships. You can forget your wallet one day and the seller who knows you very well will just go "no problem, just pay me tomorrow".

An excellent point. That's one thing I think people forget about our age of retail and transnational industries, there is no relationship between buyer and seller any more. Zero humanity in the commerce. I understand at certain scale there needs to be some rule-based transactions where you need to balance the books (though if you're rich enough you don't have to because oligarchy/plutocracy warps the rules of reality), but there is no such thing of buyers and sellers having any real person-to-person relationship. Even the the "wheeling and dealing businessman" types don't really exist anymore. There is just no place for human relationships in the capitalism because we have utterly done away with the market's humanity. It's been optimized out for efficiency sake.

Every time i see pictures of Chuck or Donald or even the flawed but important to me punished-bernie , I i'm remind these guys are all just leather skeletons. They all look so damn old. There is not a single cell of vitality in any of their photos.

I think personally the big thing leftist thought has done for me is gave me the mental toolkit to unlearn the idea of “ meritocratic/meritocracy”. We don’t live in a remotely fair world and the idea it is in any sense fair and justice is disproven in just about every leftist text, thinker, speech, figure throughout history. We get some hints about it in religion text (Speaking as a Christian) but we don’t really see how to break it down outside of personal virtue and kindness (which are cool and good but not a scaleable solution).

I really think it super dope that leftist thinking give you the tools to understand and see the Matrix we live. I also really like how it shows you ways of addressing it.

What are things you think leftist thought has improve your life? Big or small?
