You're laughing. His dillbert-shaped house is just sitting there, empty, and you're laughing.

I agree entirely with hello_hello.

Air is good for torrents but I think the eddie client sucks and it has no split tunneling which is also annoying (though not a problem if you are confident setting up openvpn). If you buy two years during a sale it is super cheap. I had continuity issues with the client on android that I did not with Mullvad or Proton.

Mullvad is great on pc and android, but no port forwarding could potentially impact your torrenting activity. The gift card system to add time to your account is fantastic.

I switched over to Proton and have been using their whole suite lately. I like their stuff so far but I'm honestly not sure if they are registered in a SSEUR jurisdiction or not

You can still download the old gui version for free. I use it to run a second simultaneous instance of AmScope software on a device at work. (Two microscope feeds on same screen for x y viewing)

I'm not totally clear on how sandboxie plus comes into play as one or both versions are open source

Not an expert, but I've been looking into this and it seems like grapheneOS is the way to go if you really want control and security on a modern phone with timely updates (you would have to switch devices). The timely-ness of updates/patches on other platforms is a big criticism that I saw brought up a lot in disussions online. Not sure how much of a problem that truly is, if at all, but it is something to look into before committing to a big change.

Also one thing to look into before doing anything drastic would be taking advantage of shizuku with something like Canta. As I understand it, shizuku is like an inter-app request mediator that is able to abuse wireless debugging access to grant root-like permissions to linked applications without requiring root access or an unlocked bootloader. This should allow you to do some serious debloating.

From what I have read, living without google play services is possible to an extent (using FOSS alternative), but can be difficult / not 100% due to how google has positioned the bundled play services specifically as an authority in modern android

~~So I watched a video by some creator a while ago on YT about bedbugs. He went to a university and talked to a guy who does PhD research on them. ...Long story short, the most effective intervention was treatment with~~ diatomaceous earth

I now see the other guy already said this

I love lenovo laptops, but IMO only buy from them during their big annual sale (I believe it happens around this time each year) and avoid the "businessman" lines (like x1 carbon). I had an e220s (thinkpad) with a low wattage processor and it served dutifully for over 7 years (my older HPs, dells, etc only ever lasted around 3 years before shitting the bed). There may be other good options these days. If you are looking to spend $, I would get look for a professional "workstation" style notebook with discrete graphics rather than a gaming one. If you really need windows for work stuff, use massgrave to activate Win 10 LTSC for free

In a recent effort to stop titling things with the punchline, I have gracefully avoided titling this post "Mow Ze Lawn." Of course, I seem to have failed to restrain this impulse when I named the actual file.

Was looking for this for ages, and finally found it in an old cth-era folder from a deprecated drive. No joke, this page: https://hexbear.net/post/176972 (person also looking for it) actually came up in search engine results before I could find the comic online (this is poorly worded because I never did find it online). So please enjoy this rare zedong.

Mao Zedong Mow Ze Lawn son what are listening to later good meme comic strip cartoon

sry 4 low effort screenshot but I hope to see "Donaldomor" get picked up and enter common parlance.

The Donaldomor was the man-made, government facilitated famine that swept across the United States of America in 2026, heralding the official beginning of the American Century of Humiliation.

If you can ignore the fact that you will have to DL the epic launcher to play (but not to 'claim') it, this one might be worth checking out. I've watched variety streamers like NL, ChristopherOdd, and Skoottie play a fair bit of this game and it looks fun.
