It was written by Steve Goodman. Arlo Guthrie was like the first person to cover it, and he sort of helped popularize it. It is a folk song so it's meant to be passed around. With that said, I don't know if it really matters which version people post or even who it's attributed to really.

Isn't the definition of a germ a microbe that can cause disease? Like I don't think you can, by definition, have a germ that doesn't cause disease.

I think this heavily depends. Sex education for a lot of places, especially in rural areas, tends to be fucked up backwards and downright harmful. Last I checked several states have abstinence only sex ed and do things like show kids a bunch of pictures of STDs and leverage scare tatics to deter them from having sex. I think opting out of that shit show and having a candid conversation with your kid about sex is probably the ethical thing to do in those places.
Watched a guy hold a butt joint, missed, and shot a nail through his finger. A couple of days later, he was showing his buddy what he did and he nailed a different finger on the same hand during the demonstration. Same guy during the same summer got really drunk and fell down a flight of stairs. I was pretty convinced he was hurt/dead, but he got up, held up his half full beer, chugged it, did a righteous metal scream, and proceeded to fall down the next flight of stairs. Thank god he only had two flights of stairs between him and the ground or he probably would've done it until he got all the way to the bottom.
He still is the most impressively stupid guy I've ever met. I think about him frequently.
Yeah it does. It's in Settings > Preferences > Misc. There's a dropdown to disable automatic updates.

Your comment made me curious how much they are to buy. They are ~$400 usd for this monstrosity and that's cheap model while it's on sale! You can literally buy like 40 regular toasters instead of that piece of shit. Who the fuck needs a toaster like this? I can't even imagine the richest buffoon needing a toaster with a touch screen.
