reduces e-waste

This is technically becoming less and less true as time goes on. Keeping the 3.5mm port only reduces e-waste for buyers who already own 3.5mm accessories. Fewer and fewer of today's younger generations own any 3.5mm devices at all, as more and more devices are unifying toward USB-C. In fact, fewer and fewer people today own any type of wired headphones.

The e-waste is now coming from the older, holdout consumers who are sticking to their 3.5mm accessories, as they're the ones requiring extra dongles to keep their obsolesced technology functional.

It's why they sent the troops into LA. They want escalations to justify further removing our rights.

Yeah, I'm more concerned with the literal bombs he's dropping.

Downvoting not because it's an unpopular opinion, but because your arguments are largely incorrect.

Thanks, and I agree. I'm not sure what grounds they have to withhold that sort of information from a lessee on. The lack of information from all angles makes it really difficult to prepare, because I have no idea what I need to be preparing for. It's been a very difficult week. :(

I'm not driving my phone, officer. I'm traveling.

It's also a bit of a "boy who cried wolf" scenario. Yes, we should call out the wolves, but only when there are actually wolves.

I got tired of there not being a place to geek out over one of the best FPS games I've played in ages, so I decided to be the change I wish to yada yada, so I made one.

The Finals is a free, competitive FPS game made by Embark Studios - a dev team formed by a bunch of old developers from the Battlefield series. All classes, weapons, abilities, and game modes are completely free and can only be unlocked through game progression; the only things you can spend money on are cosmetics, though the game also gives you a ton of free cosmetic items through various events, account progression, and the free season pass tier. It's available on Steam, GeForce Now, Xbox S|X, PS5, and will be available on PS4 later this year.

It's a super fun, super flashy, and super addicting game. If you haven't already tried it: give it a shot, it's free! So it'll cost you nothing but your time. Heck, if you have a GFN account, you don't even have to download anything, you can literally be playing right now. And if you like it, come hang out and share some clips! I'll be trying to populate the community with content as I can. I'm not being paid to glaze the game like this, I just really enjoy it and want to share it with everyone.

I'm considering picking up a fixed blade, and usually don't wear a belt, so I'm looking for low-profile clips that would work along the waistband or pocket. From what I can see, UltiClip seems to be the highest-regarded in most areas, but I can't bring myself to wear Christian iconography, and the cross logo seems to be laser-cut out of the product so I don't think I could just Sharpie over it or something.

I usually don't like any visible logos on anything I wear, but I especially don't like religious ones. Maybe my reason for looking for an alternative is petty, but it's my reason. Was hoping to see what people's thoughts on other brands are!

😇👋A MONTH OF NO GODS🧳⛩️

There is a quaint belief that in the 10th month the gods of Japan congregate for a great gathering to discuss matchmaking at Izumo-taisha (出雲大社) in Shimane Prefecture.

Only hard-of-hearing Ebisu and the Sun Goddess miss this annual pilgrimage.

Further reading:

In the tenth month of the traditional lunar calendar, a festival is held to welcome all the gods to Izumo Grand Shrine. It is believed that the gods convene at Izumo Shrine in October to discuss the coming year's marriages, deaths, and births. For this reason, people around the Izumo area call October kamiarizuki ("the month with gods"), but the rest of Japan calls October Kannazuki ("the month without gods").

I hope we're in agreement that Heilung falls under the metal genre.

Hey, was wondering if anybody might have any tips for me! I've been using a Worksharp Knife & Tool Sharpener MK2, and have this weird issue where my knives are coming out sharper on one side than the other.

I know that shouldn't really make any sense, but I've got a knife right now that I have no problem shaving hairs off my arm with, but only with one side. If I flip it over, no matter what angle I approach with, I can't knock away a single hair. The bevel is also significantly wider on one side, which I also can't figure out how to correct but I'm sure is related.

I can't tell if this has anything to do with the fact that the belt rubs against the steel in different directions when sharpening each side (up and into the blade on the left side, down and away from the blade on the right), or if perhaps this might be an error in technique on my part. As far as I can tell, I'm keeping the blade in line with the guides properly and not deviating significantly.

For what it's worth, I'm working with a hawkbill blade. Meaning that I have to lower the knife as I draw it through the sharpener, to keep contact with the belt. I know this allows for a lot of room for error; I've been making an effort to ensure that I'm keeping the alignment correct the whole time, but it's wholly possible that this may be where I'm messing something up.

Any ideas if I might be doing something wrong or something I could try to get a more even edge on both sides?

Just stop it, It's annoying. Use your hands for something else. I'm not looking for a fight. Just bringing you the truth.
