Problem: I'm hungry

Solution: Billionaires can be an acceptable source of protein.

I may be vegan, but the utilitarian calculus on this one is off the charts.

I’m an “ethical” vegan.

Looks good to me!

I feel like I shouldn't have to keep saying this, but here we are... Pay attention now:

[–] Hackworth@lemmy.world 40 points 2 years ago

I can't imagine Lisa Simpson saying this.

Some of our problems could be mitigated by less wealth hoarded by individials yes. We have problems caused by people being billionaires.

[–] retrospectology@lemmy.world 16 points 2 years ago

And by those billionaires having a vested interest in maintaining income inequality (so people's desperation can be exploited) and class heirarchies (so they can maintain power).

The aristocracy is alive and well in the modern day.

Most of the world's problems right now are directly because of billionaires.

How did you reach this conclusion?

Would a counter example be enough to dispel this:
Climate change is a problem many of us face. But however much we reduce our impact, unless the really resource-rich start reducing wastage, it gets cancelled out.

And then there's lobbying n stuff.

I was going to give op the benefit of the doubt and assume they meant this post as a criticism of the ultra wealthy and their title was supposed to be "Billionaires:"

Then I looked at their comment history...
