/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Samantha Carter: "You blow up one star..."

[–] Couldbealeotard@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

McKay blew up a solar system. Well more like four fifths of one... It's not an exact science

[–] rubythulhu@lemmy.blahaj.zone 35 points 2 years ago (1 children)

[–] negativenull@lemmy.world 15 points 2 years ago

Beverly did nothing wrong!!

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 31 points 2 years ago

I like this version better than the goat version.

It is as that one streamer always says. If you build a thousand bridges and you suck one cock, you will not be known as a bridge builder, but as a cock sucker.

[–] bitwaba@lemmy.world 17 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That joke has been around a lot longer than streamers.

You build a hundred bridges you're a bridge builder.

You lay a million bricks, you're a bricklayer.

But you suck one dick...

[–] hansl@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I’m pretty sure the sheep version is older than England…

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Scotland and Wales.

England fucked goats.

The trick is to suck a thousand cocks so it's no longer noteworthy.

Try not to suck any dick on the way to the parking lot!

[–] Texas_Hangover@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

At one time.

[–] Plavatos@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

Could take a while depending on the mean suck time. Maybe use a middle out algorithm?

"The Cocksucking Bridgebuilder"

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 30 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I did love the random bridge crew people that we would never see again. One time they had One of the daughters from Cosby at the helm and she had like two lines.

[–] kellyaster@kbin.social 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Whoa, no way! You remember which episode that was?

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

I want to say it was best of both worlds maybe? I'm blanking. It was a little later that's for sure

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 25 points 2 years ago (1 children)

When did Bev blow up a borg ship? She was badass in First Contact, btw. She took charge of all the bad shit when Picard was flipping out in the ready room.....

[–] ricdeh@lemmy.world 19 points 2 years ago (1 children)

When did Bev blow up a Borg ship?

In descent, the finale of the 6th season of TNG

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 20 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Also one of the more practical looking Borg ships.

Still weirdly angular, but more befitting most other species.

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Why shouldn’t a spaceship just be a cube though? There’s no air in space. CUBE.

There's an air in space museum

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

It worked for the Vogons, right?

"On this particular Thursday, things were moving through the ionosphere many miles above the surface of the planet. Several huge yellow slab-like somethings, huge as office blocks, silent as birds, they hung in the air exactly the same way that bricks don't."

[–] aaaa@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

It's funny, because she actually was called "the dancing doctor" and wanted to escape that title.

She sure did, so way to go, Ghostfucker

The "new girl" is Ensign Taitt. I know from opening way too much of the Decipher Star Trek Collectible Card Game back in the day.

[–] Hasuris@sopuli.xyz 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Honestly I had no idea who she was when that geriatric woman turned up in Picard. I watched a lot TNG as a child but lost all memory of her.

[–] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 20 points 1 year ago (3 children)

She's who they got to replace Pulaski in seasons 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

[–] militaryintelligence@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I liked Pulaski. I said it.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I loved Pulaski. She was the only character who actually showed real development. She started thinking Data was just a machine and ended up accepting him as a fellow crewmember by the end of the season. Yes, she was abrasive. So was McCoy. So was The Doctor. People didn't like it because Crusher wasn't abrasive.

Also, Diana Muldauer is awesome, which is why she was on TOS as two other characters as well.

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I disapprove of you.

[–] constantokra@lemmy.one 3 points 1 year ago

Absolutely Savage.

Couldn't possibly disagree more, but I love it anyway.
