The real issue here is that they're doing a settler colonialism, this would be bad even if they were 3rd or 4th or 10th generation. Focusing on how long they've been in the region starts soundings like "blood and soil" ethnonationalism.

Although Israel does have a lot of right-wing immigrants who moved there for noxious settler aspirations, it’s still the case that most of Israel’s current population (70-80%) were born in (the land currently controlled by) Israel.
