7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

This space could have used for a headline of value. Shame. Trump is nothing more than live action rage bait.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago

Jokes on him, we dont follow any laws in this country.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 5 points 2 hours ago

Sorry, motherfucker. Hope you live long enough to watch all that bullshit you superglued to the walls ripped down.

😀

[–] KeavesSharpi@lemmy.ml 13 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Sadly for him, he doesn't own the White House and has no authority to make demands upon it. All of his trashy tacky gold painted Michael's arts & craft trash will be removed from the walls within a month of him leaving office.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago

Hopefully during Inauguration Day.

[–] lka1988@sh.itjust.works 11 points 12 hours ago

This sad excuse of a vaguely human-shaped shitweasel can shove my elephant cactus up his ass with no lube.

I'd pay to watch that.

[–] Bluescluestoothpaste@sh.itjust.works 8 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (2 children)

Idk what it is about gold, platinum is more expensive in jewelry. Idk maybe it's a freudian thing a lot of people have a secret urine kink or something? Idk i just don't get the allure of gold at all as something more than a metal with industrial use.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

Agreed. I think gold is ugly as hell as a both an ornament and as jewelry. If I was going to wear jewelry and decorate, I'd probably opt for something more like platinum, and in very modest amounts - even if money was no object.

[–] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 3 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Greed and gold fever. He feels rich because he can cover his walls and toilet in shiny things. Other people can afford to do it because they aren't rich like Donald J Childraper Trump

[–] rayyy@piefed.social 3 points 12 hours ago

Gewgaws - A showy trifle. They are for superficial folks.

[–] Uranus_Hz@lemmy.zip 26 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Proclamations carry no legal weight. All his proclamations and executive orders can be summarily ignored.

[–] CoffeeSoldier@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 hour ago

I can still see a future dem president saying gosh darnnit my hands are really tied on this one.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

Someone should have the originals on hand for the next President so they can put it through the shredder at the same time they are scraping shit off the walls.

[–] foodandart@lemmy.zip 7 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I'm voting for whomever says they're going to erase him from history.. which honestly, given his corruption, will happen w/o much effort on anyone's part.

[–] KeavesSharpi@lemmy.ml 3 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

He won't be erased from history, he'll be taught as a warning to future generations. He'll be worse than forgotten, he'll be reviled... and used as a cautionary tale about the American peoples' willingness to embrace grift and fascism.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 35 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It'll be fun watching the next president, Democrat OR Republican, ignore the shit out of that proclamation and remodel it like every president has done.

Honestly, at this point I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a bigger loser in the history of our species.

[–] AngryRobot@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Ice known that since I was 8 and saw him and his home on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It was the gold plated toilet that did it.

[–] Didntdoit71@feddit.online 26 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So, he doesn't want a future President to do EXACTLY WHAT HE DID TO THE EAST WING? God, he's such a fucking hypocritical cunt!

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

...still doing to the east wing.

Diaper donnie went out to the site of the devastation right after the midterm meteor strike as his first public appearance to begin babbling about the ballroom.

[–] bumblebeer@lemmy.world 33 points 1 day ago (5 children)

Trump’s opulent redesign of the Oval Office has drawn criticism, including from former president Barack Obama, who recently joked that “he’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. Just gold everywhere.”

Obama’s remark prompted a coordinated response from the White House, with treasury secretary Scott Bessent appearing to hit back by dining at a Cheesecake Factory.

This is truly a sad time for comedians everywhere. They have no hope of competing with reality.

[–] vithigar@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It is crazy to me that every single right wing talking head latched into the Cheesecake Factory part of that statement.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 2 points 22 hours ago

Yeah instead of taking insult at the idea trump would be associated with someone that was pro literacy

I'm sure there are others here who understand this better than me, but he is seriously mentally ill.

Like, if he weren't so actively damaging to real people, I'd feel bad for him.

You managed to get yourself elected to the most powerful position in the world and still feel the need to try to name things after yourself.

Even before he got elected first time he made it clear that he was insecure about his penis size on the Republican debate stage.

Can you imagine that? Someone who weilds the nuclear football? Penis envy.

What? Only the MAGA and Russian turds would want to live in a gold decorated house. Fuck that and the next US President is going deal with a lot of shit from that Russian pedo asset.

[–] nastronot@lemmy.zip 24 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

the proclamation would ensure the West Wing rooms would not be “touched by anybody, destroyed, ripped down by stupid people”

Like the East Wing?

That will all be torn down before the next guy takes office. While he's giving his inaugural speech, they're going rip that shit off the wall, patch, and repaint. The only think left as a hint it was every there will be the smell of fresh paint.

[–] Manjushri@piefed.social 4 points 22 hours ago

The only think left as a hint it was every there will be the smell of fresh paint.

Oh man... You just made me imagine what the Oval Office smells like right now. I wonder if the Trump-funk will return when the smell of fresh paint fades away.

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe@lemmy.world 53 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Every president has redecorated the Oval Office. Including trump. None of them have demanded that their decor choice not be touched after they leave. Except trump.

But to be honest, I’m just surprised he’s talking about leaving.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 27 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (11 children)

He won't be leaving voluntarily. He's not building that ballroom and golf course for the next guy. He was talking about after he's dead. He's starting to focus on his "Legacy," which he thinks he can save, even though he is already tightly ensconced as the worst president of all time, by a long ways.

What a pos, he makes all the gaudy changes he wants, and then tries to block others from doing their thing. This is what his cult is like too, selfish bullies, punch down on others and all the unhealthy, conditional ways they use.

[–] AngryRedHerring@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

The governor we just booted, Greg abbott, sued for something around 9 million for the accident that put him in a wheelchair. Then the first chance he got, he changed the law so nobody could sue the way he did.

This is their way.

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I hope the next president or whoever replaces Trump literally wipes their ass with his proclamation.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It would probably be smartest to just build a new building for the functions. I'd bet those assholes bugged it to shit to keep tabs on things once they are out.

Similar with all the systems DOGE got their hands on and the links between them.

Tackling the big concerns that cost Republicans in the election I see...

Everything this clown signs should become null & void the minute he is dragged out of his ballroom bunker.

He has shown no respect for any other declared national monument (such as Bears Ears) so why should anyone respect his declaration? Fuck him. Rip the gaudy gold decor out as soon as he's left, restore to the original design, and put back in a rose garden for good measure.

What a total piece of shit he is. Fuck Donald Trump. Let the prosecutions begin.

[–] kikutwo@lemmy.world 35 points 1 day ago

Lol fuck yourself you gaudy no taste scumbag.

[–] BooBees@fedinsfw.app 151 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I’m sure they’ll give just as much respect to the preservation of your changes as you gave to the people’s property in the first place

[–] arrow74@lemmy.zip 43 points 1 day ago

Yeah it's really funny how he thinks this will do anything. The Antiquities Act goes both ways. He himself de-listed national monuments to open them up for logging and oil exploitation.

But let's say the next president doesn't de-list, cultural landscapes consultants will almost certainly agree on restoring it to a more historic pre-Trump layout.

He loses this one no matter what

Next president who’s not a fascist:

executive order: literally every executive order orangeboi made is now null and void. We can do it this way, or the pedantic way. I have a printer, and all you will accomplish is wasting a single day of my time.

Edit: honestly I would absolutely love it if that was the verbatim wording of the EO that accomplishes this.

The best possible troll the newly elected Dems could do is pass a bill through house and senate saying that all traces of Trump's remodelling will be removed from the White House starting Jan 2029 when the new Prez is in office, also every attempt to put his name on public monuments will also be removed. Make him veto it and KNOW before he dies that it's all getting binned. With any luck the sheer fury he'll build up will cause him to pop a blood vessel in his brain.

As usual, his priorities are:

  1. Himself.

That's the list.
