One rain head and a wand is fine for me. As long as the rain head is wide enough to get all of me while I sit on the shower floor letting it run over me while I contemplate my life for 10 minutes. The wand to actually do a good job of soap removal.

I had one of the nice showers with rain head and two wall jets and a wand. The jets never turned off just wasted pressure that could have gone elsewhere.

I am glad the people who bought my townhouse didn't get an inspection because they would have found out that one of the knobs just spun and the other knob wasn't fastened so came loose. The previous people we bought it from did a shoddy remodel that we didn't get an inspection for so we just passed it on. It was our first home so we learned to pay for the inspection with our next place.

How about mandatory load height training and consequences when idiot drivers hit overpasses?

Smoked meats is a very nice way to preserve food.

The company I work for just introduced an AI order system and they said it's 95% correct when taking orders.

So there's a 5% chance that the item is incorrect in either product or quantity. Some of the orders are for 4,000 pieces, so that's quite a lot of incorrect items on an order.

And there's five people that take orders and one person that builds the orders (me). If they want to cut down how many people are taking orders, are they going to move them over to building orders or are they just going to can them?

Also, their time is going to now be wasted comparing the order the customer sends and the order the system kicks out to see if there's anything wrong with it. Barely any of the customers use the proper product codes. They just use their terms or their own companies product code for that item.

Product called a flex connector might be called that by 50% of the customers but others call it a BX connector and some call it an AC cable connector.

My partner went back to an pixel 7 so I'm going to take her pixel 8 and see about putting Linux or Graphene on it.

If it works well I'll put it on my pixel 8 and if her 7 pushes for an update then that will go Linux/Graphene

Due to unpaid taxes on many real estate purchases worldwide, he owed so much money to the IRS that he took everything he was offered.

I believe he finally paid it off in 2022 so he can be more selective in his choices

When transporting dangerous goods, they must be properly placarded with regulation placards.

I still remember how much they use the word placard/placardable in the WHMIS training. Would be a fun drinking game if you survived the alcohol poisoning.

But the money....

If I hire these campaign managers, they say I can take money from rich people, put advertising on tv channels and Facebook through their friends marketing firm and totally get elected with poll driven messaging through their other friends polling firms. The AI created billboards and mailers totally move independent voters towards weaksauce slogans and drive the vote towards... not showing up on voting day.

This is my Sat and Sun routine. Get to the grocery store at 8am because they have been open for an hour which gives the employees time to markdown expiring things. I go around the meat and dairy section and get meats and cream at 25-50% off.

Unfortunately others have wised up and do the same, yesterday someone was a few minutes ahead and had a cart full of the discounted meats.

It gets to -35C where I live during winter. I have an unheated garage and park outside while at work, I have an EV and definitely see a drop in range but it isn't large. I can still drive around 300 km on a fully charged battery while using heat.

I can get more range by being more sparing with my heat, if I just use my heated seats and steering wheel I can keep the heat on less and get about 50 extra kms. My trips are pretty short so a fully changed battery lasts me 3 weeks during summer and 2.5 weeks during during winter.

Sure, the closest I get to Apple products is that my partner uses them for work. I haven't had one since iPhone 4.

Update: Bad news, I redid the thermal paste on GPU and CPU and still having the crashes.

Good news, I got my tax refund and the OK from my partner to up the budget so I have put together another proposed build with a few comments from my post last week in mind as well as a higher budget.

I like ASUS and it has done me well so I changed the MoBo to another ASUS and changed the GPU and CPU to ones suggested in the comments.

[https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/6J2Tcx](higher budget build)

Please let me know what you think of this new proposed build. I figured I would just start fresh with everything new as I really don't know why the system is crashing. It already crashed once just while making this post. I'll only put in my old hard drives for access to all my media files.

rebuild a PC (ca.pcpartpicker.com)

My 10 year old custom built computer is crashing a lot. I would like to use parts of it so I'm not blowing tons replacing everything.

The link for pc part picker has my current case, power supply, and CPU cooler which should all still be good to reuse. The other parts in that build are just ones I picked at random so are totally up for change.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would prefer to keep it under 1000 CAD. If you want to see my actual current build I will put it in a comment.

Edit: I am running Linux Mint Cinnamon as of now. The PSU was replaced in 2021

Just under 3 hours start to finish for medium rare.

A few years back my sister passed away, I'm now the only child my parents have left. They live a few hours away and have for as long as I have been with my partner (7 years).

My parents are planning on moving to the place we now live to be closer to me. This has my partner worried that they will be over often or I will be over at their house more often. Her parents are very far away so can only visit once a year.

My parents are not the kind of people to show up uninvited to anyone's house. They likely will come over once a month for dinner and I will probably go over by myself once a week.

We are both pretty private people so not having anyone over is just how we are and this potential change of more visits has her concerned that our privacy will be gone.

I am also fine with them not coming over often, I like it being just me and her but I do want my parents close when they have medical emergencies.

How do I approach this as currently she is a bit annoyed but taking a more "see how this pans out" attitude?

I don't exactly want to jump the gun and talk to my parents ahead of time to make sure they don't come over often because I don't think they will and it might sour their relationship to her if they think she doesn't want them over ever, even if I also don't want them over often.

I tried but there was no fourth world that was a connection to the fight for Super Earth.
