Community Rules

You must post before you leave

Be nice. Assume others have good intent (within reason).

Block or ignore posts, comments, and users that irritate you in some way rather than engaging. Report if they are actually breaking community rules.

Use content warnings and/or mark as NSFW when appropriate. Most posts with content warnings likely need to be marked NSFW.

Most 196 posts are memes, shitposts, cute images, or even just recent things that happened, etc. There is no real theme, but try to avoid posts that are very inflammatory, offensive, very low quality, or very "off topic".

Bigotry is not allowed, this includes (but is not limited to): Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, Sexism, Abelism, Classism, or discrimination based on things like Ethnicity, Nationality, Language, or Religion.

Avoid shilling for corporations, posting advertisements, or promoting exploitation of workers.

Proselytization, support, or defense of authoritarianism is not welcome. This includes but is not limited to: imperialism, nationalism, genocide denial, ethnic or racial supremacy, fascism, Nazism, Marxism-Leninism, Maoism, etc.

Avoid AI generated content.

Avoid misinformation.

Avoid incomprehensible posts.

Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.

edit: I found an edit that removed the unnecessary pantyshot. Also, the artist is JaDesu and they're from Thailand.

This is literal panty erasure!

[–] alapakala@quokk.au 2 points 1 day ago

you can support panty shots @ JaDesu’s Patreon🔞.

NotJessica just wanted a wholesome meme today.

the combination of "you dont need to talk to us" plus putting ones hand on their back feels wrong.

[–] festnt@sh.itjust.works 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

they're flanking the girl too

[–] WraithGear@lemmy.world 9 points 3 days ago (1 children)

it’s also weird we are talking about approaching a girl with platonic intent with the same effort as approaching a prey animal

uhhhhh, platonic predation is also a thing.
Not all predation is physical.

[–] WraithGear@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

bull shit. there literally is no such thing as platonic predation, that’s an oxymoron.

the literal definition of platonic is non sexual, non threatening, and with out malice, or want to take advantage of. pure intentions. like literally, literal.

Apparently you haven't experienced blackmail, harassment, libel, slander, defamation, isolation, excommunication, ostracism, bullying, threats, derision, etc.. I’ve witnessed and saved blackmailed people forced to harass you, all verbal & written.
We are not in a predatory free world.

[–] WraithGear@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

by definition, those are not platonic.

you have no idea what you are talking about with such confidence

[–] alapakala@quokk.au 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Go to any professor in psychology, any psychiatrist. Heck, even some anthropologists agree. Platonic predation exists as much as platonic love. One is more, sadistic in expressing that love.

[–] WraithGear@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

non sexual, and platonic are not the same thing. platonic precludes such actions as predation, and sadism. your psychologists and anthropologists are wrong. and at this point, you are going to have to bring receipts on their names and studies to back your so far baseless claims.

wow, that is literally not “platonic predator” at all, why that does not even have anything to do with the word platonic at all! will wonders never cease?

[–] sem@lemmy.blahaj.zone 21 points 4 days ago (3 children)

I can never tell if the speech bubs go left to right or right to left

[–] TotallynotJessica@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

The comic is from Thailand, which is read left to right. Actually, it's mostly Japan that is read top to bottom and right to left in east Asia. Modern Chinese is more often written left to right, as is Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai.

[–] riwo@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

i believe those are skirts?

[–] alapakala@quokk.au 12 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

choice v uniformI’m making fun of uniforms, and coerced binary attire. I don't care how folks dress to learn, so long as it doesn't distract from learning.
It’s sweet these concerned want a loner not to be lonely in class. But the other concern is how the school coerces uniforms or not. Blondie has the skirt/kilt too short, that the panty is visible.

[–] RumorsOfLove@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

true! but i didnt notice until you said so. so subtle not NSFW
