Yeah, because Trump raped/s* children.

It's official, the USA is now a pedocracy.

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 5 points 19 hours ago

Always has been

Very surprising from one of the most, if not THE most transparent and ethical administrations.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 10 points 18 hours ago

I'm shocked, I tell 'ya! Shocked! /s

High crimes for sure, yet theres not a peep from congress about their role in oversight. Crickets from Schumer and Jeffries. There hasnt been any presidential oversight under either party. Trumps is obviously a traitor who deserves impeachment at best, but the dems also failed to rise to any reasonable level of duty or justice in pursuing the Mossad/Epstein perpetrators and their enablers and bankers-- and they tolerated Biden sponsoring war crimes too.

Bringing in the Dems next election will make it less painful to live in the US on a day to day basis, but it'll still be completely broken, and we'll remain a government captured by the "elites" like Zuckerberg, Ellison, Musk, and Thiel, Russian oligarchs, and zionists. "Land of the free and home of the brave", my ass.

You nailed it. These assholes beg us for their votes and then once they get in ignore us when we beg them for change. This has been the way since the country began. It's a complete joke.

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 3 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I think the solution is for people who aren't on the Epstein-class payroll to run.

The efforts they go to to make voting more difficult shows that voting is still effective. The results we've seen recently show that the voters want to vote for someone who actually wants to do what they want.

How do we convince a normal person, a citizen, to give up their existence, disrupt everything, and run for office?

[–] Thor_Whale@lemmus.org 2 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

There's no chance in heck a normal person can stand up against a war chest of billions of dollars. Fundraising $5 at a time will not stand up against the endless pockets of the machine. Why even bother voting anymore. Your best bet is to just vote for your local mayor and zoning board. You have a better chance of being heard there.

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 3 points 18 hours ago

I don't think a normal person has a great chance running for president or US senator, but what about State government? What about local government?

This is the thing that the fascists understand. They want people they control in local government. They target school boards and county election officials. Leftists seem to only think of the federal government.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 12 points 20 hours ago

So when are we removing the president and half of congress for participating in this whole thing, oh, uou mean it's totally fine and we're going to ignore it? Great...

[–] Thor_Whale@lemmus.org 8 points 18 hours ago

It's not like once they find out who is a scumbag by raping children they're going to do anything. As we can see with all the scumbags who rape children and they haven't done anything. It's a joke and it's disgusting.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 137 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Where are all the qanon people these days?

[–] abbiistabbii@piefed.blahaj.zone 73 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They don't care when it's their guy.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago

They never cared, they just wanted a reason to think being an insane sociopath is justified

[–] NaibofTabr@infosec.pub 26 points 1 day ago

They accomplished their mission, so the Russian funding was withdrawn.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 29 points 1 day ago (2 children)

She resigned literally the same day her pension kicked in. It’s almost like right wingers don’t actually care about protecting children.

No shit? Who would have guessed that?

[–] chahn.chris@piefed.social 43 points 1 day ago (5 children)

I’m getting really tired of news articles coming out stating the obvious shit we all already have known for a really long time.

[–] NaibofTabr@infosec.pub 42 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Why? The more these things are documented in print and distributed to the public, the better.

[–] chahn.chris@piefed.social 2 points 16 hours ago

I’m tired in the sense of I’m frustrated not that I’m mad about it.

Something should have happened like 1000 news stories ago, when will accountability happen??

I swear if democrats take congress back and we don’t start to see heads roll it’s going to have to be riots.

[–] im_fine_sandy@nord.pub 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Imagine if one day there was a competent government keen to prosecute the myriad of bullshit this administration has done.

I think they mean the media should have been stating this shit more often as it happens and not after the dust settles... people lose interest and are distracted way too easily.

I got tired of explaining this and other things. This was a joke in Scary Movie 2, the missing ballots. That came out in 2001.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 13 points 1 day ago

At least they're finally saying it. The part I don't like is how they frame it as if it's some new revelation that's only now coming to light...

A corrupt DOJ? Ya don’t say?!

This is quite a distraction from not following the law…

[–] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago

Yeah. We all watched it happen in real time.

Yeah, and what of it? This is the new America.
