Honestly, anything he would have made would have been better than the dumpster fire that was the sequel trilogy.

Am I the only one on planet earth that sort of enjoys the prequel movies?

You turn off your brain and ignore all the plot holes and silliness and cheesiness, just like any other Star Wars content, including the first movies.

It's not that serious lol. It's not made to be that serious.

I would happily trade everything Disney Star Wars in exchange for another Lucas trilogy.

I think Lucas really excelled when he was pushing against the limits of technology and budget and those limits really held him or n a sweet spot for story telling he would naturally push himself out of.

Anything he makes now would be like the prequels.

Is that a bad thing? The prequels are great. Far better than anything Disney have released.

If you read all the extended universe stuff that existed to explain the clone wars you would understand how bad the sequels are to a starwars project.

It isn't any better than some of the tv failed projects like wheel of time, sword if truth, shannara, American gods.

It's absolutely hollow after learning about the star wars lore through those characters.

There are some great moments and people in the sequels. But as a whole they made star wars worse. Find and read the thrawn trilogy, or the rogue squadron books if you want a glimpse at what could have been.

Considering Lucas took a lot of interest and veto over what stories were allowed to be published so that the world fit his idea instead of corrupting it, you just can't see the prequels or sequels as anything but terrible.

seems like this story changes every few years. back in the 90s it was "yeah I got 6 more" and then it was "no I don't have anything post Jedi" and then he says he does, and then he doesn't, or then the sequels are about Leia and then they're not.

People don't remember their own history very well. Back then, he may have certainly had ideas floating around for more movies, but never considered them "real ideas"

Over time those thoughts turned into real story plots in his head, and it's perfectly reasonable for him to remember them as being more fully thought out then they were.

He had Indiana Jones LITERALLY ride off into the sunset at the end of the third movie. The most over the top cliche thing for a hero to do. And he dragged him back to make another one about aliens. >:(

George couldn't write a good "fall from grace " story for Anakin cuz he was living his own.

I agree but with the only exception being Rogue One. That one is pretty solid.
