Fake: anon has a friend

Gay: anon feels better after a fisting experience

[–] lIlIllIlIIIllIlIlII@lemmy.zip 37 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Fisting experience by a man.

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

It's not gay if I'm fisting myself

right?

[–] luthis@lemmy.nz 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

As long as that hand never touches a penis, according to the law of transference

[–] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

This is why I've never touched mine in my life

Anon has bloodsugar crash, administers a concussion and becomes convinced that is an effective treatment

Bro gave himself brain damage

Cause that’s what it takes to be happy 😭

[–] TubularTittyFrog@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

I mean, have you ever seen a sad stupid person?

[–] Siethron@lemmy.world 61 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

Have people forgotten about people cutting themselves? Not advocating. Self harm sometimes triggers a survival response that makes you feel better. This was alarmingly common in the aughts.

[–] tobebannedbygaymods@lemmy.zip 13 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

electrocution kinda does the trick for me

I prefer lobotomy, but then I always did idolize the Kennedys.

[–] Sonotsugipaa@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

... more than once? D:

[–] HerbGrower@slrpnk.net 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Death seems a bit extreme compared to regular self harm.

I wonder if repeated mild electric shocks can cause long term damage or not...

[–] UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

The release of endorphins really solves your problems? Maybe you should try getting really high instead.

[–] cows_are_underrated@feddit.org 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Seriously, please do not consume any substances, when you feel bad. Thats literally how addictions form and it is no fun to be dependent on substances to cope with your problems.

(I know you meant it as a joke, but thats meant for all the other people out there who might need to read this)

Did you think people cut themselves for no reason?

[–] FavouriteShapes@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'll be honest, the reason for my inane comment was because I skipped the bit of the greentext where OOP hits himself. ADHD, sorry. So I thought siethron was just randomly advocating that people start cutting themselves more.

[–] Doom@discuss.online 2 points 2 weeks ago

Lmfaooo that's so funny. No problem bro

[–] TubularTittyFrog@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

yeah, going for a run does the same thing.

your body releases endorphins as part of pain response. especially post pain.

[–] saltnotsugar@lemmy.world 42 points 3 weeks ago

Therapists hate this one weird trick!

[–] sit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 36 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

Anon is not aware and exposed to a vulnerable narcissistic parent day to day and doesn’t realise how taxing subconcious manipulation and emotional exploitation is. A first symptom of bad mood starts and will result in no-contact and a long taking process through means of therapy to recover from the years of neglect and psychological terror.

You can do it anon.

[–] residentoflaniakea@discuss.tchncs.de 38 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

That's oddly specific. Hope you are doing well.

You got all that from a mood swing and some self harm, huh

Pretty easy to recognise the signs

[–] lessthanluigi@lemmy.sdf.org 20 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

This is like Occam's blunt dull object

[–] sit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 3 weeks ago

Occam‘s additive manufacturing

[–] sit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 weeks ago

Had to look this one up… pretty funny tho :D

this one hits hard

[–] WraithGear@lemmy.world 18 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

yea, i got that. it has to be sharp and sudden pain. all that talk of using cold to safely manage is complete utter bullshit. recently i used a hammer to hit the space between the bones in my fore arm, and that straightened me out incredibly quick, but man the recovery from that sucked. i usually slam my fists against my steel desk, but my hands are always creaky now.

i should sleep but i cant. i should do things that i enjoy, but doing them is not joyful, and that makes me compound the frustration and the anger. the weekends are dangerous. holidays more so. my work has mandated time off because i don’t take pto. so in three month i will have to face the prospect of 20 days off

[–] Apytele@sh.itjust.works 25 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (3 children)

You'll get a similar natural adrenaline / endorphin speedball with much less lasting harm to your body if you run or do jumping jacks for five minutes.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 9 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] WraithGear@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

surprisingly being in a bad mood ruins this, i can no longer use that as a crutch

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Have you tried p-spot stimulation?

[–] WraithGear@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

i have been doing indoor bikeing on a trainer, though it only gives neutral results, and the next few days i feel mentaly bad and frustrated at my failure. i have even had an adrenal storm doing it, though i can’t tell if i was in the midst of the storm before i started and biking made it worse it it it was the trigger. i seem to always be on adrenaline.

[–] TubularTittyFrog@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

yeah but jumping jacks make you look kinda gay.

SELF-MUTILATION MAKES YOU STRONG AND STRAIGHT.

[–] KyuubiNoKitsune@lemmy.blahaj.zone 22 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

You sound a bit like me a few years ago. Chronic loneliness and BPD was awful.

You should try see if you can get a decent therapist. Even if it's just online in a different country.

[–] WraithGear@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (2 children)

i tried doing that (findinga therapist) when i had the energy a couple days ago. i walked away from that failure with new levels of frustration.

i have learned that any efforts to improve my situation is paid back two fold in depression and urges. the harder i try the worse it gets

[–] KyuubiNoKitsune@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

It's difficult, I'm not going to lie. You can try looking for someone who does DBT, that's where I found someone to help me. DBT is good for getting to grips with the anger and urges.

But I hear you. I now live in a place where no one gives a fuck about you and I've not found a therapist who is competent or even pretends to give a fuck about you. So I've just given up.

[–] LH0ezVT@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

As some corporate safety guy told me at my very first job, nobody cares about your health except you. More true words have never been spoken.

Some people are paid to professionally care, but ultimately, they don't give a shit except to do their job. If you want your health to improve, doesn't matter if mental or physical, you have to go out and arrange things yourself, again and again. Sucks, I know, and I am preaching water and drinking wine myself.

[–] Madzielle@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago

Ive been with my therapist for 6 years. Im pretty certain she has genunine care. She somehow had the foresight to see I would really enjoy charcoal pencils in art group, got them with out asking, and I do, love them. All that, just because she knows me well. It feels nice this way.

It is a bit of work to find a good therapists, but they are out there.

[–] Madzielle@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 weeks ago

a couple days? it took me 2-3 years to find a therapist I clicked with.

Not finding a therapist isnt a failure on your part. Stop calling shit failures. You were successful in trying to help yourself, just, didnt get the results you wanted and thats okay. You were successful in trying.

[–] sit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

You ever tried rowing? The cardio indoor version.

You can flip the fuck out like no where else. The device will have the perfect answer for all Aggression you put into it.

[–] lessthanluigi@lemmy.sdf.org 16 points 3 weeks ago

Reminds me of my first time trying weed

[–] FavouriteShapes@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I believe it is possible to get frustrated with playing too many video games.

Presumably this happened when anon was a kid, before we learn to rationalise why playing videogames non stop is unhealthy, attaching thoughts like "oh i need to do something productive"

You could say he was just over-stimulated, like a cat getting pet too much. Make sense?
