Didn’t know that! I remember seeing The Wizard in a movie theater. Even got the companion booklet. I had a power glove too. It looked really cool but sucked to use.

I saw that movie for the first time one week ago. It was worse than I thought: boring stuff for one hour, plays the NES as an advertisement, the end.
It was only really amazing if you were a kid in 1989 who played NES which almost all kids did back then. I can definitely see how it wouldn't seem like such a big deal if you saw for the first time as an adult in 2026. The upcoming Super Mario Bros 3 game was a huge deal as was Fred Savage and Christian Slater gave it a certain cool factor because he was an actor in movies everyone's older siblings watched. I was like 8 at the time and I think Jenny Lewis was my first movie crush lol
Broooo
He's gonna put some dirt in your eye.
You did, I suppose, so, thanks for pointing that out. I remember reading Elijah Wood was also in a movie as a little kid. I remember finding out that Adam Scott (of Severance and other things) was in Star Trek VIII: First Contact as Worf's helmsman during the big fight in the beginning, who announces the arrival of the Enterprise (which annoys Worf, who had just ordered a suicide run at the enemy). It doesn't "look" like him but it is. These little cameos (or whatever you call them before the person is famous) are fun to find.
Elijah Wood was in Back to the Future 2

Back to the Future Part II. :)

They are just early roles.
When I was a kid, my mom taught me to read through the credits in old movies, because you often find some big star's name in a bit part, early in their career.
California
Awesome!
