So the other day I asked what the Republican-lite supporters excuse for Democrats once again saving Republicans and then also voting to condemn socialism and now this.
So what's the excuse du jour for supporting fascism? Literally voting to punish speech here, what's the excuse?
I mean, don't vote for them...
But not voting for anyone else with a D by their name because of these asshats, is just going to let these asshats take over the party.
Most Americans don't get to vote in any election that has any of them on a ballot.
Counterpoint, if we don't vote for these D then we end up with an R in their district which is just worse in every way.

And vote for whom? Republicans LOVE third party candidates because they tend to take more votes from democratic candidates. Run as an independent that is against the state of Israel and AIPAC will come in and fire over 30mil to your opponent and likely end your campaign in most states.
We do see more people running as or adjacent to the DSA so we will see how it turns out.

It's never not a viable option. Voting takes a whole five minutes. There's literally no excuse to not participate and minimize damage. Whether you decide to do more after that is what this should influence, not whether you vote. If you choose to not vote then you're just a useful idiot.
Abstaining is propaganda pushed by Republicans. I don't know if you actually believe the message you're pushing or if you just bought the bullshit they sold you, but if you actually believe it then you're only harming your own cause. There's a reason this message gets spread so much, and it's because it's paid for. The only thing abstaining does is makes you feel superior while, in reality, you accomplish nothing.
And you're the useful idiot that Republican-lite love. Vote blue no matter who, never think about changing the status quo, never hold them accountable for their actions. Just keep on swimming. They love their moderate do nothing useful idiots.
And abstaining from voting as a form of protest is a time honored tradition. But sure go ahead and provide proof that Republicans are pushing abstaining from voting. They're pushing propaganda about the security of voting to enact laws curtailing the right to vote, plenty of evidence for that. As far as you state abstaining/protest voting does nothing, I believe it does depending on how it's done. We've certainly seen how it has changed politics with Ross Perot and how it lead to MAGA. We've seen how it affected things recently with Dearborn abandon voters and how their stance has accelerated saying fuck AIPAC.
No thanks to your moderate paradise of slow walking fascism, I'll consider acceleration and live with the consequences sooner rather than later.

Any appropriate action to take here? As a North Carolinian, I’m stuck with Don Davis. I wonder if it’s any good to vote in these establishment Dems if they’re just going to go full GOP on us anyway. I’m not even sure if the alternative is going to be worse or better.

I hear you man and unfortunately 3rd parties will never be viable with these kinds of Democrats around who won't support ranked choice or another system of voting.
If you have a couple of thousand like minded individuals, I'd say do a coordinated priest vote with a specific message of your refusing to vote for people who can't stand up to the GOP even for your 1st amendment rights like those in the Dearborn Abandon movement did.
Otherwise you'd just have to decide if it's worth it to you to hold your nose and slow walk the decent into fascism or go acceleration and live with the consequences of a quicker decent while continuing to fight for better candidates via progressives in the primaries. No real good options otherwise.

In my unprofessional opinion, it is better to force their loss sooner rather than later because it’s going to happen anyways with those people. We shouldn’t be voting for them because they don’t vote on our side regardless.
The issue now of course is that the GOP is literally bat shit insane evil when previously they were just bat shit insane on the dl evil and it would’ve been a lot better to do it this way.
