Some people are straight up fascists towards certain pets. Pitbulls? Poc ghetto child mauling dog that should be killed. Cats? Bird killing plague spreading vermin that should be killed. None of these genocidal malthusian nazis ever have any better ideas beside culling animals instead of making sure these animals dont do these things by neutering populations and rehoming them if possible. I genuinely was mortified on reddit back a while ago when I saw literal pitbull hating subreddits using literal fascist language towards pitbulls like they see them as literal pests that should be mass murdered to prevent child maulings or whatever dog whistle metric they wanna go by.

Keep your cats indoors. Your neighbors' yards aren't a free litter box and many people enjoy having birds and critters around.
They also live longer, happier lives. Outdoor cats have a lifespan of 2-5 years. Indoor cats have a lifespan of 15-20 years.
Of course, not advocating for outdoor cats. I'm just against slaughtering them and sentiments that lead to this as liberals and fascists solution to invasive species is just to fucking kill them.

Nah dog pitbulls need to go extinct. As do pugs, boxers, king charles spaniels, and every other dog bred to suffer. Pits suffer from being bred to be aggressive.
It's pretty wild how even after like 1 or 2 generations of not being "purebred" they just become really sweet and playful. Maybe still have a bit more prey drive than other dogs, but it really wouldn't be hard to "kill the Pit" by just shutting down the breeders and letting them become normal dogs.

Dogs have been selectively bred for thousands of years for specific traits to perform certain tasks (herding, hunting, companionship etc..). Unlike cats, dog breeds are real. Weather you want to believe or not, pitbulls are fighting dogs, why else would they be the dog of choice for dogmen (professional dog fighters) when it was a legal "sport" and still the dog of choice for illegal dog fighting rings now? Joseph L Colby, a pioneer of the pitbull breed, wrote a comprehensive book on American Pit bull Terriers, mostly about dog fighting (when it was legal) (CW: extreme animal cruelty):

Pitbulls are strong powerful dogs, it's a zero mistake dog, because they will cause severe injury or death if they snap.
No investigation, no right to speak. Nobody is saying discriminating against the breed is racist to the dogs - the vilifying of pit bulls specifically is part of a longstanding and pernicious campaign of racial stereotyping of the dogs in association with their owners. The image of these dogs is intrinsically linked in rotten American society and popular consciousness to black and latino people, and that is indeed part of a racist crusade.

I'm sorry, but my sweat little dog has been bit 4 times. Each time by a pitbull. No other breed has ever come close to biting her.
They can be sweet dogs. But they have very strong prey drives, and resource guarding. They will bite before they've even figured out what's going on. I believe it's been the resource guarding that caused each incident with my dog, but I saw one of the pitbulls that bit her kill a neighbors cat, and that was absolute prey drive. The cat was killed on its own property too, the dog was wondering by.
Not a single one of these pitbulls was a "problem animal", by and human standare. It's just how they react in certain situations and how powerful they are that make them incredibly dangerous.
I have heard the Reddit left leaning hive mind going crazy about pitbulls as well. It's not just the right.
