badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

"The ship looks a bit worn after its long deployment". No, shit, Sherlock

[–] Krem@hexbear.net 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

When asked about the carrier’s appearance, Capt. Dan Keeler, the Lincoln’s commanding officer, replied that “it is normal for a long deployment and we’re not going to make further comments.”

angery SHUT UP it looks NORMAL

[–] ExtimateCookie@hexbear.net 3 points 4 days ago

"I'm normal and can be trusted with further deployment 👉👈"

Tbh, this is just what a ship looks like after that long underway. They always stop before pulling back into home port to cover the rust with a fresh coat of paint and scrub the grime off the waterline

[–] BobDole@hexbear.net 19 points 5 days ago (1 children)

They’re gonna spend like two weeks painting over that rust in Hawaii before pulling into San Diego lol. “Once over dust, twice over rust”

Giving the carrier the landlord special peltier-laugh

Ah yes, that's why I'm gonna be here for the pearl-clutching and 'reply, a stray helicopter towards their families.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

Is that the Canadian flag raised up on the bridge deck there?

[–] BobDole@hexbear.net 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

“lol why would that be OH SHIT”

Had to look up what the signal flags are and mean because that wasn’t my job on the boat. I believe they have CODE/ANSWER hoisted above HOTEL. The latter means Pilot Aboard, in this usage meaning they have a harbor pilot aboard, which is someone from the local port authority who is an expert in navigating the harbor or channel. This is a requirement of basically every harbor and navigable waterway worldwide. Idk what the CODE/ANSWER means in this context

[–] Test_Tickles@hexbear.net 2 points 4 days ago

Ah ok thank you, I googled those flags and can see they are all red and white lol

I’d say it looks like a highway toilet but highway toilets have the ability to flush

hard to believe that the grey flap looks worse after it comes out of someone than before it goes in
