The US finally allowed adaptive headlight tech like the Euros have had for a decade, but sounds like it is only marginally better for most new cars.

Another thing that would make the problem better would be if the US had fewer vehicles with their lights mounted four feet off the ground.
Or if the lights would just die instead of developing a worse and worse flicker giving everyone on the road a seizure while the car owner has no clue they need to change their lights

That’s one subtle generational divide gen alpha is going to have, thinking of light bulbs as being, by default, things that only get replaced once in a blue moon.
Thar being said, the sooner “Watt equivalent” dies and light bulb packaging just categorizes them by lumens and K, the better.
Ngl I haven't (consciously) noticed the usage of "watt equivalent" lately.
As an older gen z I still remember asking for a CFL in my bedroom because the damn incandescent bulbs kept burning out.
This might be my chuddiest take. I can’t stand led’s. Spent like a year trying to find the “right type” until giving up and going back to incandescents. I find the light so much nicer. I also was unable to run the ac in the summer with the lights on for some reason (lights kept flickering) which was a disaster. No issue with incandescents.
I just switched my second to last fluorescent tube to a led lamp, the last one will probably be the last light I have to change in this apartment
