I grew up on Cleveland (left 20+ years ago), and not once in my life did we ever have trouble from Canadian wildfires. It's wet up there, how does stuff even burn, but now it does.
Obviously, things are changing and getting worse. I just read that we have been judging Climate Change based on the lowest C02 level estimates back in the 70s. Now we know that throughout all those years, we should have been using the HIGHEST estimates to measure, and that means that things have advanced twice as far as we have actually thought.
It's hot as Hell out there, the weather is getting more insane in a daily basis, and it gets noticeably worse every year.
But don't talk about it.
A mistake? It's a fucking catastrophe having neither of the two major shitass political parties discussing THE most prevalent issue of the century.
It's beyond despicable the state the world has been allowed to devolve into ... all for the profits of a handful of some self-entitled creatures once thought human.
I think of them both as murderous anti-stewards of the life of the earth, “the creation.”
Covering up a core issue to appease dyed-in-the-wool right-wing voters is a centrist strategy that will fail. At this point, only the minority of hardcore MAGA are going to continue to vote for MAGA candidates. Those MAGA voters also tend to be climate change deniers.
70% of Americans believe climate change is a pressing issue.
There’s enough voters on the left to defeat the right, you just have to get them to vote. Progressive policies are popular on the left, and when you don’t put them at the front of your campaign, you’re not going to motivate all potential voters to vote, or they’ll vote third-party.
The Dems need to stop being pussies and instead proudly be leftists that don’t back down from a fight.
You nailed it. I really don't understand what is complicated about this either. I tend to believe a lot of older corporate Dems are intentionally keeping popular policies out of the mainstream but there appear to be quite a few well meaning Dems that can't seem to figure this out. It is baffling to me.
JFC. When are Democrats going to realize that they need to stand for something? They are just constantly too afraid to advocate for a point of view. Stop with the consultant-brained 5 dimensional chess bullshit and just make an argument. Persuade people of the merit of your worldview. In other words, lead.

By the end of this century there will be so much CO2 in the air that human cognition will be negatively affected indoors.
The average global warming rate has accelerated from 0.2 C per decade to 0.35 C in the last 10 years.

Aha! The solution to the CO~2~ problem is so very simple. Scientists only need to follow these very simple instructions:
- Electrolyze water to add significant quantities of O~2~ and H~2~ into the air.
- Then electrolyze the H~2~ and CO~2~ to produce H~2~O and CO.
- Then, ignite the atmosphere to convert CO into a reduced quantity of CO~2~. Graphite will then precipitate from the air.
It's a truly genius plan. Amazing scientists haven't implemented it yet.
