What is the point of these posts
I've decided every once in awhile I'm gonna take Lemmy's temperature on a public figure.
I don't get this sub. Someone made this exact same shitpost but with Jordan Peterson. That post is sitting at around 20 downvotes because people don't like Jordan Peterson. This post is at about 40 upvotes because people like Trevor Moore. They're both excellent shitposts, and are basically the same post, but because one person is subjectively more liked, that post is voted higher.
Anyway, he's a comedian who died because he got too drunk and fell off his balcony so it's illegal to say anything bad about him.
And Jordan Peterson is a strung out dated talking head who got taken out by some apple cider.
The way this was worded, you made me think I'd missed Jordan Peterson dying in some stupid and embarrassing way, which would've made my morning.
If Jordan Peterson died falling drunkenly off a balcony, we'd all keep saying bad things about him.
