Has to be the worst use case for a humanoid robot
There is no good reason to make a humanoid robot at all and wanting to do so has disturbing implications. It's mechanically impractical and also like...why would you want to emulate human slavery? Machines are made to do tasks that we as humans arent specialized to do as well as the machine we built. Thats why we built it.
The justification that makes most sense to me is the fact that, theoretically, if good enough, they could massively reduce the investment required to start using them, as they could be dropped into workplaces designed for human operation without need for extensive rebuilding. Your mileage may vary on how likely it is the robots would get good enough to achieve this in our lifetime, though it does seem plausible to me.
This idea doesn't apply to teachers at all or any other job that's primarily social or academic - and while there's an argument for a humanoid body form I do very much agree that trying to make them look human is sketch as fuck and has basically no good purposes.
I can see a bar robot. Like one that mixes drinks.
Have you seen those custom drink machines at movie theaters? Something like that but with alcohol. A person shaped bartender robot is an easy example of why the human form is sometimes not well equipped for the inhumane labor we nake people do. I hsve worked restaurants my whole life and a big giant vending machine could easily be a bar. Having it be shaped like a person would be way less efficient.
Anything to avoid paying teachers more, jfc.

i know those hairstyles are kind of like a goofy trope, but it's a total head turn for me when the hair is cut with severe precision like that. like its just plain impressive from a practical design and engineering standpoint and i want to know them.
They dont look like that all the time. There is product holding that in place most of the time. Some people just have really thin and straight hair which can keep the look naturally. It's not a hard hair cut to do, but it's hard to maintain. Also it only looks good on a handful of people. You really need the right face shape. When it's working it's amazing but on an off day you look like a toddler. High risk high reward hair.
I think it also looks a bit like Uma Thurman, if Tarentino comes running we know for sure.
