I'm so glad I can still spot AI generated faces (No, not Riker lol). It's getting harder though.

[–] I_Has_A_Hat@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

You don't even have to recognize AI faces. If it's a mugshot with a wacky title, it's fake.

[–] ReluctantMuskrat@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

I'm just really disappointed they didn't include an AI-generated video. Low-effort spam!

[–] Xerxos@lemmy.ml 4 points 13 hours ago

Oh, the huge manatee!

[–] FE80@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago

At least she knows how to have a good time.

@TehBamski Why do I expect the dude at the bottom of the picture to say that the story is false, and they made it all up?

[–] TomMasz@lemmy.world 40 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Just replace "in" with "into" and the wrestling makes perfect sense.

[–] db2@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago (1 children)

A Florida woman was arrested for wrestlintog a manatee in a bikini at a public park

That didn't help at all.

[–] TomMasz@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Took me a sec to get this one.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 2 points 1 day ago

Me too. The brain sees what it wants to see.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It's city by city as I understand it. Some beaches the manatees can go topless, others they need to cover up.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 day ago

Manatees can, womanatees cannot

[–] Seleni@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago

Maybe that was what the wrestling was about? She was trying to force the manatee to be more modest by making them wear a bikini?

I don't want to hear anyone say there's no such thing as the perfect woman.

[–] TommySoda@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I mean, of course. That's why they were wrestling. That manatee did not wanna wear that bikini.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

It was an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini! That she wore for the first time today.....

[–] cheat700000007@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Are they sure the manatee wasn't just a Florida woman?

[–] DasFaultier@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's quite simple actually.

  1. Open bikini
  2. Inserrt Manatee
  3. Close bikini
[–] icerunner_origin@startrek.website 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

How do you get an elephant into a bikini?

  1. Open bikini
  2. Remove the manatee from the bikini
  3. Open fridge
  4. Remove elephant from fridge
  5. Insert elephant into bikini
  6. Close bikini
[–] xthexder@l.sw0.com 2 points 19 hours ago

*fridge left open reminder beep*

[–] AngryRedHerring@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago

"How the elephant got in my pajamas, I'll never know"

[–] icerunner_origin@startrek.website 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Meme was cut short.

"How'd they get the manatee in a bikini?
And is it single?"

[–] OpenStars@discuss.online 4 points 1 day ago

Riker would definitely not ask about singleness status 🤣

That's my wife you asshole.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

So what was the illegal part? Clothing? Needing a permit? Did the manatee consent?

[–] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

It's illegal to touch the manatee. They're about the least dangerous large animal on the planet, but honestly impressive she could get a hold of one. They don't move fast often, but they really can jet when they want to.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

I'm guessing manatees are protected, but really they just wanted to put hands on her.

[–] InvalidName2@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

When you're a star, they let you do it.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

How they put the bikini on the manatee you ask? That's why they were wrestling with it.
