It makes me feel kind of 
when I remember a famous question for the Kitchen Debates was about housing. Khrushchev said that Soviet buildings are meant to last, and that American houses fall apart after twenty years (obviously talking about ticky tacky suburbs). Nixon tells corn man that well maybe people want a new house in twenty years, a new car in ten, new furniture in five.
But after capitalism is put in place, they won’t get that. That’s not their role in the world system. They will live in Khrushchevkas from 60 years ago. And they will never be Americans.
