They will never get send to the front, they will be used for propaganda to undermine the next US election. Lots of chuds in the US becoming 18 this year who will listen to these two cunts.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 11 hours ago

Any young American MAGA men who are that dumb that they would follow these dipshits to fight for Russia, deserve whatever they get. I encourage as many as possible to join up. That's just fewer morons we'll have to deal with in the future.

[–] angband@lemmy.world 12 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

Don't they sexually assault their new recruits?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 11 hours ago

That's why they joined.

[–] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago

Exactly, he fits right in

Steven Seagal waddles over with a watermelon

At which point exactly did "gun-posing for your insta" become "army training"?

[–] qarbone@lemmy.world 3 points 13 hours ago

They might the first ones to get training in a couple years. Aren't they just scooping people up and feeding them directly into drone bombs nowadays?

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago)

They could be heroes for "gun rights"... like Charlie Kirk.

[–] Muscle_Meteor@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

You guys are getting training?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 11 hours ago

They're special.

[–] psycotica0@lemmy.ca 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Hypothetically speaking, how much time spent at a training camp is necessary for one to be categorized as a military target / enemy combatant? I don't know how the conventions work.

[–] Talentlesssculptor@lemmy.world 20 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Essentially, as soon as you have signed a contract to join a nation's armed forced as a combatant, you are one and can be fought as such. Generally speaking you can be engaged in all contexts unless you are actively doing three things: surrendering, bailing out of a plane using a parachute as an emergency(not dropping as part of a paratrooper assault) or if you are in the process of being rescued from a shipwreck.

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 13 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

True for targetted assassinations but anyone on the training/military grounds is a valid target as it's not like you can go review their each individual contracts to confirm this. You just destroy the entire base that spawns orcs into your lands.

[–] Talentlesssculptor@lemmy.world 7 points 20 hours ago

Even targeted strikes on individual combatant (generals and other officers) are not considered war crimes. If you have enough reason to think that a person is an enemy combatant (they carry weapons and are dressed in the uniform of a belligerent enemy nation) you may engage them specficically.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 1 points 13 hours ago

Ah yes, the famed Russian army's training.

How many wars has Russia actually won?

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 104 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It’s crazy how treason is just a game now

[–] VitoRobles@lemmy.today 31 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Unemployed losers will do anything for attention

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 35 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

We are living through the fall of capitalism so I don’t use employment to gauge people’s worth but I do use the values they demonstrate and the things they say.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

human trafficking and brainwashing idiots doesn’t count as employment?

[–] some_kind_of_guy@lemmy.world 3 points 13 hours ago

"Be your own boss!"

Cowards like Andrew Tate won't go anywhere near the actual front, they are all about a fake image of being strong while being being pathetic cowardly losers.

This is a really fun post however, but made me think....

Killing Tate in combat can be a bad idea, it could easily make him a martyr, a powerful symbol for other cowards to rally behind.

However, if the last pictures of Tate were somehow really embarrassing to him and his followers...

On the toilet perhaps, in the middle of the night, being half awake, hair and beard a mess, wearing a way too old t-shirt with large holes and stains.

That might do it...

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 52 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Him being a martyr would be less of an issue than him being an living promoter of his worldview.

This hand wringing about awful people becoming martyrs is frustrating to read. How many horrible people have become actual martyrs who inspire people to be worse than the followers they had while living? Actually martyrs tend to die doing things that benefit people.

What happened to Charlie Kirk?

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 47 points 1 day ago (1 children)

“Who’s Charlie Kirk?” - Charlie Kirk’s wife

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago
[–] snooggums@piefed.world 27 points 1 day ago

People acted like they cared about Kirk a little bit during the month or so the media tried to make him a martyr.

[–] whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works 3 points 15 hours ago

Charlie Hebdo of course, how could you forget!!

I mean that's the only Charlie I could remember

[–] NoForwadSlashS@piefed.social 6 points 1 day ago

Something about spurting and getting cucked.

[–] SaharaMaleikuhm@feddit.org 18 points 1 day ago

Nah, he will be forgotten quickly just like that Kirk fellow. Who only remains as a meme.

[–] rain_enjoyer@sopuli.xyz 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

i heard that, at least couple years back, rich people, well-positioned people, some influencers etc who nevertheless got drafted sometimes get an option to be a drone pilot in bars-kaskad unit. drone pilots are some of high priority targets, and now ukrainian drones reach like, 50km behind the frontline. in general drones can fly thousands of kilometers to worthy target, and targeting tate would be very funny. on the other hand, i'm not sure how would trump or other republicans react to that, he already got him out of romanian prison

[–] Shellofbiomatter@lemmus.org 8 points 1 day ago

If russia plays it smart. They would not send Tate anywhere near actual combat or standard military. Just some PR stunts with him and trying to make him look "badass".

If russia doesn't play it smart then considering it's russian military and Tate is western. He would get hazed to or near death or maybe executed by some military official.

If Tate would even survive. Ukrainian troops would find him in fetal position and crying in a ditch

[–] Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Running scared across a minefield, leg gets blown off and dies slowly?

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The issue is still that it would be dying in combat.

All his supporters could start using the argument that he was a true man, who never backed down from a fight, "he even went to war" would be a common claim.

[–] frostysauce@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago

He'd be forgotten in a month like Charlie Kirk.

[–] athatet@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 day ago

They could claim that I guess but we would just laugh in their faces about it.

[–] mrmacduggan@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 day ago (2 children)
[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 3 points 21 hours ago

Fair, I just wanted to paint a ridiculous picture.

Shooting stuff at the gun range is like the most easy part of "army training".

I would love to see Andrew Tate's head exploded by a drone.

[–] Wildmimic@anarchist.nexus 25 points 1 day ago (2 children)

What training? Russian grunts get no training, they get threatened with rape and/or murder by their CO if they object to being used as target practice for Ukrainian drone operators.

[–] ivan@piefed.social 7 points 1 day ago

It gets beyond threats and sometimes happens regardless. There are ton of videos of "500's" tortures (code for those refusing to fight).

[–] FishFace@piefed.social 2 points 1 day ago

Foreign defector scumbags with an online following obviously don't get the regular fresh-out-of-supermax training regime!

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 9 points 1 day ago

This is the best thing they've ever done.

You think they have the advertising IDs turned off on their phones? Or nah?

[–] khannie@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

God, it's as if I thought I had reached peak disdain for these cunts but they have more to give.

[–] harcesz@szmer.info 4 points 1 day ago

Maybe we should fundraise for some face recognition drones for the Ukrainians? 🤔
