I’m a simple piggy. I just want all my slop in one easy to consume event, not 20 small ones scattershot everywhere over the course of two weeks. And all the big ones start when I’m in the middle of my commute. This is targeted harassment of gamers kitty-cri

E3 was awesome. What do kids have these days, Asmongold announcing the next minecraft expansion? Don’t get anything about what makes the current order of things at all attractive or defensible

Geoff is doing his best. Just give him time and attention. That's all he needs. This will be the best Summer games fest ever. He's going to apologize to Kojima for not giving him game of the year last year, it'll be great.

I'm always okay with more Muppets

Nice thing about online is you can watch them later or stream them or just get the highlights. But yeah debulkanize the fest! ussr-cry It's bloated with filler and lame jokes as it is...then again Loren Aldred with an orchestra unveiling No Promises to Keep was pretty unexpected. (I prefer the [First Take version https://youtu.be/d-YNvxcLC-A) )

Being able to skip through the games I don’t care about IS nice, gotta admit. Silver lining.

But E3 didn't have one big event? All the big console manufacturers and publishers each had their own individual keynotes. Often they were on the same day and back-to-back, but it's arguably roughly equivalent to now.

Idk how E3 would work when new games are kinda just bad. Only AAA game I've seen recently that interested me was Tropico 7. Is that AAA? Probably.

Thats like your opinion. And no new Tropico 7 would be AA at best

[–] LittleFellaNamedBoof@hexbear.net 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

yeah i know its my opinion. The entire post is an opinion about missing E3. So I shared mine lol.

E3 could work pretty easy. The main reasons it doesnt exist anymore are probably boring business related things.

I think its just a bit reductionist to say there are no good AAA games when we just had Expedition 33 and Baldurs Gate 3 which are almost universally praised. Like there are still high quality games being made even on the highest level of game development. And not every game at these award shows needs to be an AAA game either . Games like Silksong prove that even indies can have huge hype behind them.

I miss the Matthewmatosis streams for E3.

[–] CyborgMarx@hexbear.net 4 points 1 week ago
