Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

[–] muusemuuse@sh.itjust.works 15 points 6 days ago (2 children)

If this fuckhead gets superpowers now, I’m gonna be so pissed

[–] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 7 points 6 days ago

Hopefully sepsis and necrosis of various body parts.

[–] Breezy@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

If trump wins 2028, they might just make this a real comic.

[–] muusemuuse@sh.itjust.works 7 points 6 days ago

Trump won’t even survive that long. The GOP are playing weekend at Bernie’s.

[–] the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world 21 points 6 days ago

My heart goes out to the spider, I hope it recovers from chud poisoning soon.

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 6 days ago

Die, fascist, die.

[–] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 21 points 6 days ago

Knowing Rittenhouse he probably agitated the spider and tried "defending himself" from the problem he created.... Didn't go so well this time.

[–] Furbag@pawb.social 21 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Please god let it happen because it would be so fucking funny.

[–] Typotyper@sh.itjust.works 7 points 6 days ago

It would be better if the poison fucked up his nervous system and left him a cripple

[–] Tetragrade@leminal.space 14 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Fucking antifa spiders.

[–] mrpollo@lemmy.zip 12 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

NBC would rather cover this than the $200,000 Lego incident corruption. Insane

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago

People built a statue to a mosquito that gave some dictator malaria. Time to erect a statue to a hero spider.

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 17 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I would never wish death on anyone, but there are some obituaries which I would read with great pleasure.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 19 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I wish death on him enough for the both of us

[–] LemmyBruceLeeMarvin@lemmy.ml 11 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Can I get in on this? Enough hate in my heart for that ghoul to start a car

Does anyone have an address for the spider? I want to send a get well card.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 11 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Nope, nothing, not one bit of sympathy.

[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Is the spider okay though?

I do hope the spider is okay.

[–] aesthelete@lemmy.world 14 points 6 days ago

The spider was just protecting his property.

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He should have just chugged some horse dewormer he'd have been fine

[–] Karjalan@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Why didn't he just cross state lines illegally with a gun and shoot the spider?

I hope the spider bit him in the dick and nobody nearby was willing to suck the poison out

[–] CreativeCider@feddit.org 3 points 5 days ago

If some Proud Boys were near he'd be sucked off in a second

[–] FishFace@piefed.social 11 points 6 days ago

Since when did we care about some random unimportant twat getting sick? This isn't news.

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago

This is old news. Happened a few weeks ago. Unless it’s happened again. In which case: lol

[–] underThunder@thelemmy.club 12 points 6 days ago

Good. Fuck you, you moronic piece of shit.

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Sadly spider bites are rarely dangerous these days especially if you make it to the hospital.

Rage bait by NBC mentioning a murderer to distract from Israelistan's pedophile in chief and rising gas prices due to his crusade in Iran
