Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Bible culture is entirely bogus. The Christians who voted for Trump did so because he was rich and in spite of his felony convictions.

[–] radiofreebc@lemmy.world 22 points 1 week ago

...and because he hates the same people they do. They'd hate Jesus if they ever met him, or actually understood what he stood for.

[–] MisterD@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 week ago

He makes them feel comfortable to be racists out in the open.

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 24 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You don't get it .... these morons apply the laws and rules of the bible to other people ... NOT THEMSELVES!

[–] Truthtwopower@lemmy.zip 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Correct, all by design. They don't care if its true as long as they get the control.

[–] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago

I realized it was bullshit when I thought to myself "Why don't these people act like God is judging them for their sins?"

I was watching Ezikel lie for Jesus in The Boys at the time.

[–] QueenHawlSera@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They don't believe in Christianity.

Do you honestly think they'd behave this way if they were afraid of God's wrath? They know it's bullshit just as much as we do. They just know if they pretend to buy into it that the peasants will too.

[–] UltraMagnus0001@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Most think they'll be forgiven if they repent when dying, the Catholics actually charge money and that makes me feel they think it's a free pass to fuck others over.

It's not very lifelike. It's missing 120 lbs of fat and it should be orange with a red hat.

terminology I was better off not thinking about or trying to derive the meaning of

I saw an interview with the sculptor (not a supporter, just a guy paying his bills). He said the "cryptobros" who commissioned it kept telling him to make it thinner.

The people who follow Trump are not Christians. In fact given that Jesus was middle eastern they would likely try to kill him again solely because he is the wrong color.

The people who follow Trump simply weaponize and slander Christian values for their own gain. They are everything God would detest.

Ironically, they are far more aligned with the Devil

I don't really follow the Bible but I do have a lot of family who studies it and respect some of the messages it teaches about loving and being kind to others and being charitable. I'm not an expert by any definition but I know enough to know that MAGA is the polar opposite of what the Bible stands for.

These are not Christians.

Extremely accurate. Lmao!

[–] radiofreebc@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

Everything Trump does is blasphemous. He is just scamming stupid people, and deeply religious people tend to lean that way.

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

But, trans!

Really, it all comes back to that. When you talk to conservatives, their brains pivot around that point.

[–] radiofreebc@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Then they should just come out as trans and stop punishing the world because they don't have the guts to follow their dreams.

[–] phx@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Well, taking anyone who is willing to accept this entirely based on "faith" and often contrary to science, facts, or their own two eyes... yeah that's pretty much exactly the type of follower a serial scam-artist would want.

[–] tacoplease@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Even if it was okay, look at that fucking ugly ass thing! Appropriately shitty-looking for a shitty model.

[–] Ceruleum@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 week ago

The only way to make it look better was to model it after an actual turd.

[–] Godthrilla@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Man...something about worshipping a golden calf is hitting harder and harder these day

[–] Wataba@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago

Religious shitpigs are hypocrites. What's new.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I don't think anyone can still argue that these people are Christians. Not with a straight face.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.cafe 6 points 1 week ago

They're as much Christians, as MAGAs are Conservatives.

I was going to 3d design a cow with Trump's head. Print in gold. Post on all the 3d sites which have a lot of trump/Elon love (i don't get it at all). Also a lot of haters . So I'm sure it will entertain a few people.

But idk Seems like a waste of filament and my time when someone already made one.

I thought about printing small versions of it and leaving them around town in various places.

Make it so the cow stands on a little block I can put text on the front. Maybe the commandment about false idols or the one script about the golden cow.

Printing it in plastic is also kinda on point for the statement I'm going for.

Obviously I did think about this a bit. But is it worth 0.50 to print just to own the magas ? /S

That's the important question.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_calf

For those non Christians and not raised Christians. The golden calf is a biblical story about worshipping material things. Essentially.

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

Ripe for vandals.

[–] Gates9@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

Christianity is idol worship and the idea that Jesus the hardline Orthodox Jewish rabbi from first century Galilee would say otherwise is ridiculous

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 week ago

Well, it's part of the full set, he already committed adultery, beared false witness, stole, and coveted.

[–] tiny_hedgehog@piefed.social 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I mean… if we’re going to split hairs about a golden statue, we’ve lost sight of the other nine commandments. I’m not a huge religion fan, but I’m fairly sure one goes like “Thou shalt not be a serial rapist” and “Thou shalt not bomb schools full of children”.

They left those out to make room for the one about how their god can totally beat up all the others and a reminder to take a day off from work every week.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.cafe 1 points 1 week ago

Nope, raping and bombing aren't mentioned. They're totally allowed by Christians.
